I am pretty sure some of my fellow heat fans on this board, of which also are the biggest apologist in the history of mankind - are pumping their chest thinking they were right all along to praise the Heat for taking short cuts all season long. Not so fast. The ultimate goal has not yet been reached, and who ever the next opponent is will be better than the previous three opponents we have faced thus far.

The Heat got away with not having to play a game 7 on the road in the ECF, but the chances of the happening are slim in the finals. The Heat have accomplished absolutely nothing yet. Not shooting for the #1 seed can still prove costly. And dont give me that crap of “ how did HCA work for the Pacers?” Cant compare the two teams at all - The Heat are far too much better. The next two possible opponents are just as good as the Heat - Though the Heat may have a bigger edge in some areas.

The Heat have accomplished nothing yet - Their real test will start Thursday - Championship or this was a complete failure

Battier says Oden & Douglas said to him, tonight, "who is this team?"... Battier’s response: "hey, we're not bad when we play hard.

Probably the smartest thing scrub battier has ever said - This team is lethal when they play hard

If you truly believe this ( which I do), they being as fresh and healthy as possible is more important than HCA.

Also, to be accurate on the topic, yes, there was no reason to not be the #1 seed in the East, but that is a moot point as of now because it ending up not mattering.

The Spurs won 8 more regular season games then us.
I'm not sure by any means that the Heat could have won 9 more games then they did.

They could have if they wanted to and tried, but that was a problem for them all year

Neither the Spurs or the Thunder have the bench to compete with Miami. That said, sometimes our bench can be a little underwhelming. But, assuming we start the right guys, meaning scrub battier doesnt start - We should be all right. I expect our guards to play much better and with much more consistency against either of these two opponents.

I expect this series, as it would have been vs Thunder to be clean and full of class from top to bottom.

Spo has to go to JJ, UD, Beas and even Oden more in this series off the bench - keep scrub battier out of the rotation and give the other more deserving guys a shot - they have more to offer - That is the only way to match the Spurs bench

ESPN reporting scrub Battier will become a college analyst once he retires at seasons end ... Of course he chose to work in the college game. It was the last time he actually earned the success he had and the only time he didn't need to be carried to championships

What is Ray Allen going to do if the Heat win their third? Is he going to retire or do like Derek Fisher and postpost the inevitable?

After so many ups and downs for him last season, one would have thought last season would have been his last - it wasnt -- This season, he has continued with those ups and downs but has had more ups and had them at the right moments, so because of that I think he gives it a go for at least another year - But, you never know.

It has been reported that the Houston Rockets are set to decline the option on Chandler Parsons, making him a FA at seasons end. Thats a guy we can go after - Scrub Battier should donate his entire salary as a Heat to charity or back to the Heat so they can get Parsons and other guys that will surely be better than scrub battier.
