Heat to use that 5.5 mill they received for the Waiters injury and release Okaro White. We need help on offense badly

Agreed. This team definitely needs something. The starting unit looks like they can’t function. Honestly, we have been offensively challenged for years and our 3rd quarters have been awful. Negative points overall for the year. Still think a 7-10 seed. .

7-10 seed. Who does the 10th seed play in the NBA playoffs? This isnt March Madness.... A special kind of stupid you gotta be.

James Johnson is the issue. Pretty simple fix. Insert Olynyk or Winslow in place of him.

LMAO at 10th seed though.

We'll be fine though. Schedule gets more favorable soon. Tonight ends the nearly month long stretch of playing 11 of 14 on the road.

That 10th seed thing cracked me up.

You do realize the Heat has 7 fewer losses than the 10th seed right? So in 30 games, the Knicks/Hornets will make up 8 losses on Miami? LMFAOOO

We're not playing good but I'm assuming help is on the way either via trade or more than likely through a buyout within the next month.

Spo is a good coach though. As much as I like to get on him, he usually get the best out of his team. I can't see this team continuing to shoot below 40% and I have to think he will make a change to the lineup as well.

I simply dont like the guy because hes a dumbass - but its things like these that dont help the cause.

In a sense, coming from him, I guess we should take the fact that he sees this team as only a "7-10 seed" as an improvement and good thing seeing as how less than 10 games into the season he was already referring to this team as a lottery team again. The post are in previous months game threads to see.

I just wonder where all of a sudden in his mind we went from not being in the playoff race at all, to the bottom of the race to now near the top -- and yet he thinks we are no better than a "7-10 seed"

Freedom of speech/expression is something this great country affords all of us, but some just abuse it a bit much -- this is the ultimate example by him.

Well, he will certainly make a lineup change/adjustment tonight....

Spo's stubbornness and his unwillingness to get away from the usual even when necessary is his biggest enemy.

I said it at the beginning of the season and several times thereafter and will continue to.

I never agreed with the idea of McGruder as a starter especially at SF -- to me he is more of an SG on both ends. Either way, the Heat were set on him being the guy at that position until he got injured. Prior to that injury it seemed that the starting lineup was going to be Goran, Dion, McGruder, Winslow(who I wouldve liked at SF over McG and Hassan. Then he went down and it was as if Spo had a mental meltdown and tinkered way too much with the lineup over losing just one player to injury at the time. He could have simply inserted winslow there and K.O. at PF and we wouldve had a quality starting 5.

Instead he did something he doesnt necessarily like to do which is getting someone to come off the bench(JJ) who plays significant minutes from that role already and inserts him as a starter.

Something Spo also too quickly got away from compared to what he was doing earlier in the season is that he was playing guys their usual minutes but was doing it in shorter spurts and keeping guys fresh. Wont say him getting away from this has contributed to the countless and constant injuries throughout the season, but it certainly works to your advantage when you play more guys or even the same amount in shorter spurts.

Point is, changes have long been needed and Spo cant continue to wait for guys to go down to make changes.

At some point or another, EVERY player the Heat have used has made SOME contributions -- you cant be stubborn or try to be like every one else and try to shorten the rotation just because -- if playing more guys is actually helping, there is no reason to get away from that.

So, hopefully change does come and hopefully when we do get some guys back Spo doesnt see it as a reason to turn back to moments where things simply werent working efficiently

Changes made: Bam will start due to Hassan injury -- Winslow and K.O. to the starting lineup and JJ to the bench where he belongs - Spo will probably still play him starter minutes.

Comical reading the posts on here. A 9th or 10th seed is eligible for the lottery and hence a lotto team. Paula, the pigeon, who hated the Big 3 era and some of our best players does not understand that all 14 teams that don’t make the playoffs are eligible for the lottery and hence a lottery team. But go ahead and keep calling everyone stupid. Also, I have consistently said this team is likely a 7-10 seed. I hope they do better and hope they make the playoffs but you guys are fooling yourselves if you don’t think it is possible they could miss the playoffs with the 9th seed just having picked up Blake Griff. This team is an awful 3 rd quarter team and still needs some help on offense. This team and it’s staff has beeen challenged to find answers in3rd quarters and on offense.

JJ with a negative effect on the Heat and game already - Bam had a nice block that is erased by a JJ foul as only he can

I will give JJ his due for his 2 3's. Bench actually producing with this change.

-1 after 1 but I think the Heat will live with this pace and find their way as the game goes

Always thought JJ was better off the bench.

Crazy to hear that after tonight we would have played 7 more road games than home games

One thing I hope the Heat know, if they decide to eventually trade Whiteside then rebounding becomes a huge weakness as we're seeing tonight

Bad foul called on J-Rich but no reason for him to react in such a way and get a technical and give DET free points -- just stupid

These refs are so bad.

Critical 3 point swing to end the half thanks to shitty officiating
