Hope to be wrong but all indications have been that top priority for the Heat is/will be to stay out of tax and have the flexibility to do their thing later - so I doubt they would be willing to go over even for a guy like Joe Johnson -- Plus, as I said before - he seems to want to go elsewhere(CLE) where the feeling is mutual.

I say Miami bring back Battier :)

When I use the word " tank" I don't mean for draft picks necessarily as there is no assurance the Heat get one unless certain things play out a certain way -- But, the Heat are certainly not going to compete for a title this season - so if they are going to just tank the rest of the season and just settle for a playoff berth and early exit for the sake of staying as healthy as possible -- I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring back the washed up Scrub Battier -- maybe in the time off he has reconnected with the Duke Battier which was the last time he was any good at basketball.

Great game last night. Great. My biggest takeaway is this... DWade is an old lion. The young lions are better than him now. I love me some DWade. Favorite athlete of all time. There was a long time I would have taken him closing for us vs anyone in this league including LeBron and Kobe. That time has passed. We will not win an NBA title with DWade closing games for us. He is still the best closer we got... and still a really good NBA player. But if he is the best on your team... You can make playoffs, but you're not contending for titles.

Kevin Martin is going to be bought out as well. Would be nice if we can get Kevin Martin and Andre Miller

Still, if most rumors are correct -- JJ is more than likely going to Cleveland

Who would you think the Heat let go? Some talk of it being Udrih being a candidate given there is a thinking that it would be hard for the Heat to bring him back after the season for financial purposes? That said, it has also been said that Udrih could speed up his recovery and could be back for the playoffs assuming the Heat get past the first round. Probably would have been nice to have guys like Andersen and Stokes still around to just now get rid of them to make room for this potential move

Udrih is the only option IMO.

Unfortunately, it seems so given the unfortunate timing of his injury -- unless they are wiling to risk one of the youngsters in TJ or J-Rich

According to bleacher report, which I personally don't trust fully as much as the other sources -- JJ has already committed to the Heat.

Several sources confirmed this. He is coming to Miami when he clear waivers
