Is everyone over last night already?

Heres hoping the Warriors elect for a rest day tomorrow and rest some key guys and give us a break. The real tragedy is that tomorrow is all the CFB national title game -- hopefully it is over before the Heat game starts

They haven't rest anyone all year long. Highly expect to see them start that tomorrow

I'll be happy if we lose by less than 10

This was one of the many reasons we lost - we refused to take advantage of this - this is on player execution -- nothing to do with coaching

I don't think its a lack of trust of Dragic or anyone else outside - its the inability and unwillingness of this organization to get away from making Wade the focal point of EVERYTHING because of the loyalty factor within this organization. Its been discussed time and again by those who cover the league - how the Heat should consider Wade in a bench role but they are incapable of even having the discussion with him for fear of him being butt-hurrt - they are incapable of benching him late in games even if he has been useless and a liability the entire game before-hand like last night - incapable of giving the final shot to someone else even when he has taken horrible shots the entire game costing us games with a bad final shot as he has many times already this season.


So, again, its not a lack of trust of Dragic or any player for that matter - its just too much trust on one player and being incapable of getting away from that - its not something I blame Spo for it starts at the top.

As you pointed out they haven't rested anyone all year - additionally, they've been a little banged up in recent days - thats what gives me a little hope they might do so tomorrow night

I would also advise guys on here not to get too frustrated by games this month. We knew when the schedule came out in January that this would be our toughest month. At the moment were 4-2 in January

Yep. Thanks for sharing. Riley's talks with Spolestra below the season only helped for so much. Teams playing against the Heat making better adjustments and coming out stronger. Was surprised we had fixed it but it now returns to the norm under this coaching staff.

Yeah probably. Honestly the only 2 teams I think who wouldn't lose ground playing 14 of 16 on the road is the Warriors and Spurs.

So we're ranked 5th best in OPP FG% defense, 6th best in OPP 3 PT%, and 6th best in DEF EFF. In other words we have a damn good defense.

We are ranked 29TH in Pace while GSW is ranked 2nd.

The key to tmr's game is playing up to our defensive statistics and the game must be played closer to our PACE than the Warriors PACE. If we play at their pace the game will be over before halftime

Agreed. They just have to keep their heads above water so to speak this month and they will be fine the rest of the way

So typical of you - no accountability towards the players just blame the coaches.

Often when we have struggled in the third quarter its been in games like last one where those struggles actually began in the second quarter where we started blowing the big leads we had -- The body language of this team when they get such leads is very telling that they will blow those leads -- it carries over to the second half until they lose it - they often don't get them back because they just don't have the mental toughness to overcome them.

13.5 point underdogs and no word yet on the Warriors resting anyone unfortunately. At least maybe the Heat will probably be out of this game early enough where they will be able to rest guys early themselves
