Miami Heat Trade Rumor Tracker « CBS Miami

Here is something from CBS4.com in Miami regarding the same as bks posted.

If the purpose is to make the playoffs, then trading away Luol Deng is not the way to do it. You dont trade one of a hand full of players on the team that plays his ass off game in and game out from start to finish.

Now, if the Heat were tanking, then maybe you trade him.

As of now, the Heat are playing just to make the playoffs - once there, anything can happen, even if realistically much doesnt happen. The Heat need to look forward to the future, the current team is built as it is for that same exact purpose. What they need to do is stay as is for the rest of the season - then make just a couple tweaks as they set themselves up for the next big free agency period.

We have a core, a good group of quality young guys we can count on in the future as regulars - a great front office, ownership, most of all a great coach. The future is going to be great for the Heat - especially when there is no DIVA around.

Here is an article on CB having played injured practically the entire season, but with him being a team first guy, he has taken one for the team the entire season. This probably speaks to why he is often inconsistent and why he doesnt always attack like we would want.

Most importantly, it speaks to the fact that the guy is a team first guy who will play through injuries because he wants to have his teammates back as they will have his - unlike Diva Wade who SITS OUT for no reason and cares only for himself

CB sent home sick when thinking of the possibility Diva SITTING OUT another game. Though they say DIVA is 90% ready to go and went through full contact practice without vaginal aches -- yet

Wade said he is playing. Said it last week and said it again on Sunday.

You can go ahead and believe the organization

Any trade rumors for the Heat that have any chance of happening? Im not expecting to see anything done. Would be ashame to let our player exemption just expire.

Fascinating ESPN report of Heat offer of two first-rounders for Dragic. Effectively could leave Heat with only one first-rounder until 2019.

The Heat are among the teams Dragic was willing to sign a long term deal with. He is 28 - getting up their in age - What it took to get him will be as big a factor of how this move turns out as any other aspect . So lets see how much we gave

Heat have traded Norris Cole to the Pelicans for former University of Miami forward John Salmons, according to numerous reports

Per Ira Winderman

Dumb move despite what some may say about Cole - hes got championship and big game DNA

Like I said, of Dragic is a piece the Heat envision for the future as they build up for another title run and adding more quality players in the next big FA period then its great - if not, then not so great.

The only reason Cole being let go is justified is due to the fact that this move would have given us probably far too many guards in the roster - but we couldve made it work with Cole still around IMO - couldve just traded Birdman and picks maybe?
