Heat roster at the moment: Whiteside, Birdman, Bosh, Haslem, McRoberts, Deng, Ennis, Wade, Chalmers, Napier, Johnson, Gordan, Zoran...

That leaves 2 open roster spots, with Heat still holding $2.65 million disabled-player exception for McRoberts. On to the buyout market.

Interesting trade. For now, it appears that we are the winners. We gave up nothing currently for Dragic who was set to be a free agent over the Summer other than Cole (who was gone next year), S. Williams who was not playing much, Granger who was not playing much, and Hamilton who played very little. The issue is that we gave away two first round picks to have a guy here for 30 games and who may or may not stay here if the last 30 games go badly and if we go badly, then we may have given up two very good players in the future. High risk, high reward. A good trade for both teams in my opinion. Riley obviously does not value draft picks and the Suns got something for a player they were going to lose in free agency anyways. The only issue is that he is a PG who turns 29 in May. Will be interesting to see his contract and how this year plays out.

Basically we got Dragic for 2 draft picks.

Cole, Granger, & Williams were all gone in the summer

So....do we have shot at Ray now? He lives here in Miami and we are a totally different team.

I don't think the last 30 games matter. He wants to play in a system that fits his style. The Lakers, Knicks, & Heat were his preferred teams...the other teams will not sniff the playoffss.

Pat would not make the trade if he did not think he would re-sign Goran because this season is done basically in terms of championship aspirations. I don't think the risk is all that high. Who gives a damn about draft picks (top 7 protected btw) 4 and 6 years from now? I know I don't.

As I said several times before, Ray issue in Miami wasn't the team. He did not like something about the coaching staff/organization. It never had anything to do with the actual team.

As I mentioned earlier, Goran mentioned he would be willing to sign a long-term deal with any of the team on his trade wish-list. So we shall see how it goes

If that is the case, all we can do is say : Ray, thanks for the memories - but a guy with that mentality is just not needed in this organization

Chris Bosh is South Miami Hospital tonight undergoing testing. Nothing is conclusive, according to the Heat.

Per Joseph Goodman of Miami Herald.

Word is he became really sick when learning Diva Wade would finally play after SITTING OUT so many games for no reason this season

awful news to hear about CB. I wish him well and hope for the speediest recovery. This issue is far more important then a stupid basketball game.

But with that said, 1 step forward with Dragic, 2 steps back now. What can Miami do to replace him as a player if in fact Bosh is out for the season?

It would mean more minutes for Haslem, we would also have to search the D-League or overseas for a PF that can play defense. Offense wont be problem as Dragic can score and shoots a really high % for a guard. But there isn't a lot of 10x all-star caliber players we can pick up off the scrap heap. This definitely hurts.

Bennett Salvatore, David Guthrie, Haywoode Workman your referees for tonight's Heat-Knicks, 7:30 p.m., Madison Square Garden. (Sun Sports).

Been a lot of Bosh speculation. Yes blood clots have sidelined Teletovic, Varejao for the season. But still too early. Tests are just tests.

Heat reportedly bringing up Henry Walker, the former Bill Walker, from D-League affiliate. Team has two open roster spots.
Playoffs without Bosh, which is the emerging reality, again a challenge. But what matters most is Bosh’s health.

Spoelstra, “there's not a full diagnosis yet."

Spoelstra said Bosh situation not life threatening. “And that's the most important thing."

Spoelstra calls some of the speculation on Bosh is wild speculation.

Henry (formerly Bill) Walker will be added by the Heat to a 10-day contract but is not with the team for

Friday night’s game.

The Heat's hope, if they pass their physicals, is to have Goran and Zoran Dragic available Saturday at home vs. Pelicas.

How many guys will be available for tonights game?

I wonder if James Jones is regretting leaving. He actually would have seen some playing time this season with us.

As of now, it looks like 8 guys will only be available to us. So, our starters will have to kick ass. UD, Birman and Napier are probably the other 3.

Chalmers, Wade, Deng, Haslem & Whiteside. To start. At least we can still put up a quality starting 5 even short-handed
