This thread was started in 2016...are Pats fans really this worried that their window is closing that they need to bring up the Dolphins in 2019...you know, the Dolphins that traded away the couple nice players they had for draft pics in 2020 and really didn't care if they won a game in 2019...only the Bengals upstaged their quest to suck? Seriously, Pats fans need to discuss this to make themselves feel better?
Gotta get in their trolling before they're perennially chasing the Dolphins and Bills for the next 10 years.

Don't get me wrong, I troll the fuck out of Bears and Vikings fans when they get all uppity and shit, but I don't make a habit of kicking them when they're down. That's just lowlife behavior, something I'd expect out of a Yankee's fan, or a Lakers' fan...

Whatever, I guess they forgot about their first 40 years of total crap...maybe Matt Millen was right for trying to punch the owners son in the face back in the day...

Nope I've brought it up and you won't take it as a reason for poor production.... Yet all of the Miami running backs have poor numbers. They are last in rushing for a reason. Their QB will win their rushing title. One of them will obviously end up the worst but when it's that bad overall how can you blame any of them? Yet you focus on one....ridiculous.

So you slough off the challenge about how to build a team yet have no problem telling all of us they are doing it wrong and will take ten years. Gutless....
why do all the miami rbs have twice as efficient production? again, you cant answer that. you cant reply to the worst every, in 100 years. I'll take your challenge. When you show me the comments you've claimed ive made. Repeatedly. Should be easy to find. Hint: ive posted proof to the contrary already. When i call you out for lying, and making shit up, you seem to ignore those parts of posts. care to shed some light on that. Oh and :kissass:. You've proven your'e full of shit by lying repeatedly.

This thread could have been stated 20 years ago. Forgive me for waiting so long. This is a PATS / Dolphins rivalry thread.
If you want to hear more GB banter, go talk Rodgers.....

You should try explaining to @There is A Moose at 3rd His claim to famme is run blocking does not matter.
He says RB's dont matter, that "just another guy" can run behind a good O-line but wait!
Good run blocking O-lines don't matter either!

It's like it's a passing league and I am not being hyper-literal with the doesn't matter comments.

Steelers offense is bad when they can't pass the ball. Big, if true.

Let me get this straight, I basically called you Pats fans posting shit on the Dolphins losers and this is what you come back with? I was right, you're a fucking loser.

Josh Rosen was not a starting QB this year and he will not be next year either. Fitzpatrick needs to quit getting the shaft. He's the most unsung hero among QBs in the NFL. Sure he can turn the ball over, but he can make big plays. He's the ultimate playmaker whisperer too. Look what he has done for Devante Parker. Look what he did for Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall. Look what he did for CJ0K! Give him a decent defense. If he could take the Titans and Jets to winning seasons, why can't he do it for Miami?

He's in his 30's and the goal is not to go 9-7.

They're not going 11-5 anytime soon though.
Really though? Most rosters are churned in 3 years time outside of high dollar players with little to no net value unless they're QB's. You act as though Miami is in cap hell when they are in anything but that.

You have Tom Brady and now Josh Allen in that division. You have an elite Bills defense in that division. You have another QB who is improving in that division. Miami is gonna have a very hard time getting by NE and Buffalo to sniff 11 wins. A team may be lucky one year to have a 12-4 year as a runner-up, but it rarely happens. If the goal is to get to a SB, that's the problem. Records are inflated with improved teams because of circumstances, scheduling, and throwing off the opposition with new approaches. It happens all the time. That's why teams like Jacksonville fail. Their ego got the best of them after 2017. It was a fluke. So not aiming to having a winning season first when you are the Miami Dolphins is a good way to keep you where you are unless you luck into a 4-2 division record year and an easy schedule (like 2016).

Brady quite plausibly is not good anymore and Josh Allen is below average as well.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has been the best QB in that division.

The Dolphins also have far and away the worst roster outside of the QB in the NFL.

Defenses are notorious for falling off very quickly, especially if they're producing stupid and unsustainable PPG/Yardage totals like the Bills Patriots, Bears. Rex Ryan Jets and the 2015 Broncos also come to mind. Even a regression from all-time to merely elite is pretty damn big in reality at this point.

Get say, Tua back there. Maybe he is good by the tell-all year 3- and you load up the roster with young talent, and when you're ready for the SB push, the Pats and Bills likely aren't nearly as good as they are operating at what their ceiling probably allows with their current QB's; and no I am not anything close to optimistic regarding Josh Allen's development.

Re-signing Fitz is just cap money that can't be rolled-over and used to extend their few players of value or use to find mid-tier FA's on short-term deals to support a young QB; or a couple blue-chippers if they're willing to come to Miami is fine too.

Do the Dolphins execute this correctly? Well, probably not! But it's the correct path to take.
