What is the reason for chief saying if one exists it’s a human error? Honestly what reason would there be?

I doubt it’ll be your last time because you are full on homer in this. Let’s just wait and see.
Saying "if" it exists simply covers his ass in the longshot chance that it actually does exist.

For the last time, it's highly unlikely that it exists. Highly. You just keep on plugging away on here, and be sure to let me know when it's released.

She already made the allegations. To the police. Multiple times. Urban knew about them. It is my hope that he reported them and that was documented properly. Other than that, I don't give a rip.

What is the committee going to do? Say in their report, "As to Courtney Smith, 'Liar, Liar pants on fire!'"?

The only people I feel bad for in this whole thing are the kids, who start school pretty soon. Their classmates have seen this play out before the whole world and kids are brutal.
What they knew
What they did with that knowledge

Those are the two questions the investigation is centered around.

If his ex was trying to do anything possible to fry him and was falsely calling police and everything else she's been accused of, then you bet your fucking ass they want to talk to her now. Proving that they knew she was making things up out of retribution is very much a possibility of this case. Again, if what your fan sites have been spewing is even half true. And it will be a solid avenue out of this mess.

That doesn't mean they would only do that if Meyer didn't actually report something. It's pretty clear he has said he did.

Which is why I fully expect him to be back on the sideline shortly.

Yeah man, this 100% implies that 11W is biased and only believed by OSU homers. Like, very obviously implies it.

I've said at least half a dozen times on here that I believe it's existence is highly unlikely, not impossible. There is a difference between the two, trust me.
ok, maybe now you are getting somewhere.

Sure, I said 11w is certainly to be looked at as biased. That's not even in the same zipcode as saying they made shit up. That's saying if there was a yet 3rd copy or whatever I'm not expecting they would be turning over rocks to look for it as it doesn't do much to help their communities interest. That's a whole entire different thing. So no, I didn't in any way imply they fabricated a damned thing. They could very well have an actual copy of a police report from 2015 on this case and the revised one. It doesn't prove McMurphy didn't have one that said arrest. It simply doesn't.

So in your mind McMurphy just making it up seems more logical than any other possible answer? Because he made a few lame attempt at jokes at OSU's expense back in '11?

Sorry if people on the outside simply find that weird. It isn't in any way the most likely version of events IMO, but I'd be happy to eat those words if it proved to be dead on.

Honestly, your ignorance of what 11W actually is isn't surprising. Why would you know anything about them? Fact is, they've had a copy of the report alleging the abuse in 2015 since then. They report on anything having to do with OSU, good or bad. There's a reason they're independent and still privately funded, yet they're as big as they are and have existed for 12 years. They're damn good at what they do.

In my mind, McMurphy probably never saw a police report. He probably was told by either Courtney or by his tipster that Zach was arrested, and he was reckless enough to not go to the Powell PD to confirm this. The fact that he refuses to provide the supposed report stating Zach was arrested, even though it will completely restore credibility on this matter, should be what's weird to you.

This thread pertains to my alma mater and favorite team. Why exactly are you still here?

Good for you. Don’t hypocritically tell people they are plugging away when you are doing the exact same thing. An it’s a message board, I can be here as long as I like. Thanks little buddy.

I didn't ask you what you can and can't do, I asked you why.

I admit I'm not hanging on every word of this case like you are. Where has he been asked to produce something and denied it? I asked that earlier and it got ignored. There are literally thousands of responses to his articles now on FB. There's no way to keep up with any of it. Well not and also still have a life anyway. So there or other fan sites don't count.

What main stream media outlet has called him out that he hasn't responded to? I'd be happy to jump on board with you if you can provide those details.

On the original Oct. 26, 2015 Powell Police report, a box on the form was checked indicating Zach had been arrested. However, nearly three years later – after I reported the incident last week – the Powell Police released a revised version of the report to the media and the arrest box was no longer checked.

“The terminology used by the Police Department was different in the original report (dated 10/26/2015) and inconsistent with what actually occurred,” said Megan Canavan, director of communication for the Powell Police Department.

That same report states: “The victim reports that a domestic incident happened last night at (Courtney's) home and that she has been a victim of sustained physical abuse by the suspect.”
This is what is in the Aug1st version of the report he filed.

He is clearly saying that box was checked. Not that he was told it was checked, but that it was checked.

I have zero doubt he saw something. Where it came from is of course in doubt.

It is still that exact same language in the now updated Aug5th version.

I'm going to again stick with what seems the most simple and logical answer that he did indeed physically see a copy of that report with that box checked. Until I have absolute proof otherwise.

Yep. By no means is he saying one exists. Saying "if" it exists simply covers his ass in the longshot chance that it actually does exist.

From his comment — I took it as it did and it was simply an error by his office and they corrected it.

If it didn’t exist — he would have flat out said — there is no report stating he was arrested, since he is the one with access to all the reports.

It's not about being asked to produce something, it's about having the journalistic integrity to stand behind your story. If he's doubling down and saying he absolutely saw a copy of the report that said he was arrested, doesn't it make sense to you that he'd be falling all over himself trying to make it public as fast as he could? Wouldn't you?

11W obtained the report in 2015 and they put out what they were given. Just like the report McMurphy received on July 24th, there's no indication that Smith was arrested. We also know now that Zach Smith was, indeed, not arrested. Can you honestly say you don't understand why I am highly skeptical of McMurphy saying he saw this report that evidently nobody else has seen, and the fact that he hasn't even attempted to make it public?

When you're being faced by a journalist saying they have supposedly seen a copy of this report stating he was arrested, I think he answered the question correctly.

LOL swing and a miss.

Well, if Jeff Snook says so I guess. :noidea:

For the record, I didn't give a shit about this story until that clown started trying to drag the coach of my school into it. All these fake ass housewives of Columbus need to get a fucking life and stop trying to play deep throat. Nobody gives a shit about their conspiracy theories. The University is investigating and if it's like you guys claimed, Urban will be back on the sidelines in no time.

There is nothing checked at all.
Why is there nothing checked at all?
Shouldn't something be checked?
Was something checked, then unchecked?

I don’t disagree, but as the one person who has access to any and all reports — he could have put an end to it.

Instead, he made it sound like there was a report stating that - it was by error and they corrected it with an updated version and then McMurphy updated his story.

It is nothing more than arguing semantics — Urban knew exactly what the question was about and it is why he put out the report saying he lied, I mean failed (PR speak for lie), at Media Day.

Maybe if your coach doesn't want to get dragged into this, he shouldn't be interjecting by paying legal fees when he's no longer affiliated with the program.
