Buchanan is on the mound and he had a 1-2-3 first inning giving up no runs. That is how you pitch a great opening inning. I like this guy and he is going to be an excellent addition to our pitching staff.

Sanberg has the right guy leading off. Revere has been on fire since they moved him to this spot in the lineup.

Utley is off today and it looks like Ruf is playing second.

My error. Blanco is in at second base and Ruf is in left field. I had that screwed up.

Blanco hits a deep ball to left field and beats Dendecker and gets Ruf to third.

Damn it. Asche hits into an out and strands two. This leaving runners on base is still a weakness on this offense.

Buchanan can hit. He almost got on first with that deflection off of Niese.

Excellent steal by Revere. Then Byrd flys out leaving Revere stranded. There it is again!

Murphy has a double to lead off and this is not good.

Wright drives in Murphy and the Mets are on the board. 1-0

Buchanan who was mistake-free for the first three innings is now starting to make some mistakes which the Mets have made us pay.

Yea this new pitcher that Boobens picked-up has already been waived by two bad teams-the Astros and the Rangers. He starts tomorrow in Anaheim. I guess he is going to magically transform into a good pitcher since he is coming to the Phillies.

Blanco makes a great grab and robs den Dekker of a run. Buchanan gets through the fourth giving up one run.

Ruiz gets on with a walk and Ruf is up. It would be nice for Ruf to get on track.

Now that is how you get on track! That ball was hit into center field and that is a long ball that puts us up 2-1. Ruf hit that ball past the first row of shrubs in center field. What along ball!!

Buchanan is cruising here in the sixth. He throws just 8 pitches and gets three ground balls for outs.

Buchanan is on today. Great control. He should be able to go 7 innings. Ruf and Blanco are playing because it is a day game. Some players are being rested. Ruf displays why he needs more playing time with his power and ability to draw walks. I would rather see him in left than Brown.
