About sums it up. Consistency. That's what we as fans aren't seeing. Hopes WAY UP to WTF!?!?!
He's gotta clean it up. Mack Jones was a pro bowler his first year. 22Tds and 8 ints.

Daniel Jones too had a decent first season with similar numbers.

Every rookie's team, coaches, schedule and development are different. Saying one guy had a better rookie year because of a million different factors is asinine. Sounds like you'd have bailed on Manning and Elway after year one as well.

Yep, he needs to dial back a little. Manning said it took him a year to find out what wont work in the NFL. ...I get what you are saying all the same @Orangeisback ...LGM is also Correct...

The last two games Bo is just letting the chips fly were they may . I do believe we are going to be the one team no one wants to play all the same . I am loving having a QB that is for real that don't make mistakes over and over he will fix some of this buy the playoffs

Rookie QB. There will be ups and downs. Since Manning left we’ve seen a lot of downs and not a lot of ups, from rookies and veterans alike. So I’ll take it.

We may hit the SB a year earlier then some are predicting now . I see all the players now making a name for themselves. This team is so well coached . that I believe we just might be Good enough to win the SB this year .If we keep up getting better each game like we have it might get mighty interesting

He's still a rookie. Not sure what his career will be but he has the coaching to make it succeed. Yesterday was all rookie mistakes. Game speed, coverage adjustments, forcing the ball. All rookie mistakes. Carson Wentz comes to mind as a player who came out gang busters and then fell off a cliff after 4 years. Give Bo a running game next year, slot WR and TE

The key is to take advantage of the rookie contract Bo Nix has. In a hard cap league it's essential.

Some facts..everyone thinks the QB is so important that he needs to be locked up with long term contract ASAP.

The fact is during the hard cap era (30 years) not once had the highest paid QB won a SB.

Tom Brady in his first 4 seasons, under a 6th round rookie contract, he was 10 -0 in the playoffs with 3 SB rings. Those NE teams had very dynamic defenses.

Then they paid him big money. They had to dismantle the defense. Began getting rid of key players. Lawyey Milloy, Ty Law, Richard Seymour, Vince Wilfork, etc. They also got Brady bells and whistles...a high priced WR in Randy Moss....etc.

The next 10 seasons the Pats defenses were rather average. Ranked in the 20s consistently. Brady put wonderful stats. However he was 8 and 8 in the playoffs and no rings.

Brady took essentially a pay cut and for his last 6 seasons in NE he was the 18th highest paid QB. The Pats signed Derrell Revis, solidified the defense and in 2014 had their first top 10 defense in years. Won it on a defensive play. His last SB they beat the Rams in SB and that defense held the Rams to 3 points.

Ask why Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers only went to one SB despite putting up huge numbers. Look at Joe Burrow now with the Bengals after he broke their bank.

Peyton Manning took a pay cut essentially so that Demarcus Ware would remain.

Sorry about the long post, but it isnt ONLY about a great QB. Though Nix is showing real flashes, he makes dumb mistakes. He is essentially no longer a rookie btw. It's been 14 games. First 3 or weeks, fine. He is essentially a one year pro at this point

So Bo has been through every look and every defense he will ever see through 14 games. Brady would have been the highest paid if he wasn't married to a super model who made more than him. Mahomes won the SB last year taking up 16.9 % of the cap. Which QB took up more last year?

"Everyone"? The fact is when people include "Everyone", they are assuming everyone.

You can't be extended until after year 3. Most elite QB's get their first HUGE contract and as it sits in they start to restructure to help the team.

Let's calm down a bit. We are 9-5... Don't be so crabby. Enjoy it. Just like any rookie you are going to have your ups and downs. I don't think anyone (but Mingo) is calling Nix elite yet... People are just happy. Incase you fell asleep the last 8 years we have SUCKED and have gone through QB after QB.. So yeah, people are going to be happy with what they saw and the progress we made his year. Common sense.

Be happy, put your chin up and smile! You act bothered that people are happy that we are winning. You sound like a ole grump all the time.

Welcome to the forum ya ole grump!

I get all that all the same let the kid be a kid . Especially when he is winning . I get what you was going at 100% agree . the last two games he has gotten a little to Willey Nealy... But his head Coach might have told him to make all the throw he belives he can now make and don't worry about it.

As a Coach if you believe you are close to Greatness ...You do what was done two weeks ago . Let them play and leave them alone ! shut up and let them play. the great players learn from their mistakes.

At some point you let them fall . Then celebrate the good ! and laugh at them when they complain that did not work out well
