I live in Brooklyn but work in Manhattan
Grew up in the outskirts of Chicago.I love Chicago as well been there 9 or 10 times.
so jealous, glad your having a great timeSo Just checking in as we hunker down for night 2 in Rome. The colosseum is amazing, all the ruins, ancient churches and stuff, awesome. Pompeii is friggin breath taking (i never realized how big that city was), And every one should have a high speed rail.
But the drivers in all parts of italy, SUCK
Very coolGrew up in the outskirts of Chicago.
Close enough to take the bus to Cubs games as an unsupervised kid.
Was convenient to see concerts, or head to the lakefront beaches.
Now I live far west in the burbs.
Dread going in to the city.
Bears games or Blackhawks games are practically a 2 hour commute between trains and buses.
Maybe it's age?
I just don't like going anywhere anymore.
I did make it to NYC on a business trip once.
Made it to the top of the WTC for free thanks to a couple of New York's finest.
New Yorkers were a lot more friendly than they're given credit for.
Heading to KC for a wedding in October. Never been there. Can't wait.
I lived in Carol Stream for a while when I was a kid. My little league team finished second in the city one year. We got a six foot trophy for it.Grew up in the outskirts of Chicago.
