Don't necessarily count Lefty out yet Sammy. I think a lot depends on how the new constitution is received. Speaking of which, Lefty, Tlance, Treff, Joe and I have all been working our asses off on it. Some at 3:00 in the morning, some tinkered with it all day, but it's really close, there are just a few issues that we are still debating.

I read it, you guys have done all the work.

And the A and B leagues are total redrafts?

I would love to play in the D1 league as that is the one that Lefty is in, especially since we will be in different leagues in the A and B leagues now. I've seen the roster that Micro had and I can live with taking over that franchise as is without having to redraft the whole league or anything crazy like that.

D1 is 14 teams and 9 starters with 9 bench
D2 is 16 teams and 10 starters with 10 bench

Just thinking out loud here but. .... I would lean towards filling the D1 spot with a qualified member who is not already in D2. Gives us a bigger base of members. .....

Look, so far Lefty and I have declined the Commish job so far. We need to hear from the rest of the OG's ASAP so we can get this shit sorted out and move our asses on. If none of the OG's want the job, then we need to hear from the rest of the "Second Wave" (Tlance, TKO, Bandito, etc.). Tlance has already thrown his hat in the ring but we should leave it open to all of those guys IMO. We cannot afford to lose anymore good owners.
I declined right away.

Alright, guess everyone has had their issues addressed, hopefully the new constitution is well received by all...let the process of a new commish proceed.

Been thinking it time to unsticky some of the threads. Coma, suicide, weekly reviews and Barbarian threads. Any objections?

None here. ... thinking maybe we need to maintain the dynasty 'weekly review' since it operates kind of outside the standard leagues, though - but if we want to remove it that's fine too.

Good idea Harold. I would leave this one and the main one for each dynasty. The weekly review thread can just be found again next year.

We do need to check with Chef..is he out out, or just out of KOTF?
Regardless of how certain or uncertain we may be about Chef in the KOTF, IMHO we should have someone earmarked from the BATG to fill his spot in case we need to. And also have a newbie earmarked to fill the vacancy in the BATG.
Let me just say that I'm not trying to push Chef out. I for one would love to have him back and would personally petition to WANT him back. He's the type of owner we need in the MBBRL. Active, humorous, genuine.

I don't think any of us would object to having Chef back in the KOTF if all he needed was some time to sort this through. Time has worked wonders already for some of us. Let's err on the side of caution to give him a chance.

Did Joe decline too?
Not in the public forum.
But I have declined.

And on a personal note, for those that have said such nice things publicly and privately about your support for me as commish, I appreciate your kindness.

.

I agree with you Joe and as you know I don't think we are going to vote on any of the open spots until later anyway per the new constitution because we do need to let time heal some wounds.

Unless I am remembering incorrectly, The constitution states that the oblivion vote will take place on or near June 1st. If that is true, no reason to rush because Chef will have made up his mind for sure. I am holding out hope that he will have a change of heart.

If we do the vote now, it is simple. Top 2 vote getters earn spots and 3rd is next in line if Chef bows out. In that case, the team that finished 11th in A league power ranking retains their spot. At the moment, I am not sure who that is.
