Fleener didn't help him.

But Detroit's secondary was pretty much the best I've seen, from a Lions unit.

If Brees hadn't went for personal stats (Passing TD streak.) he would have scored a couple more. That third INT was completely on account of him trying to keep his streak alive. Game was more than over.
And of course 2 more points would've meant getting beat by less than a point ..which may have hurt even more

well that sucked... THought I would avoid the demotion... But no, my defense/kicker gave me a whopping -1 points...

Awsome... when you need help, you don't just get a slap in the face, but you get punched in the balls...

My reaction was premature... Luck saved my day, maybe even season... But i have NO clue right now...

Yeah, those sting the worst.

Brees really did go all out for himself. He's done it when ahead, and when behind. This time bit him in the ass.

Reverse psychology strikes again!

Luck has certainly made things interesting in my division. Bastawd

It's only fitting with this shit season that my dynasty partner put the final nail in my coffin. .... call out to Petty, you have other receivers and backs that were open in the second half -- but you only have eyes for your practice team buddy #11. What a clutterf%ck the Jets are. ....

Week 13 Recap

"Anybody want to clinch? ...anybody?"

Happy-Gilmore.png

Milk unLucks TKO - 101.4 to 96.7
Andrew Luck unloads on Monday night and gives Milk the win. A massive performance by Howard makes up the dud from the Bills DST. All Luck had to do was to throw to everyone but Moncrief...and he did. Alive at 6-7.
TKO was let down by Kaepernick and the weather. All that time wasted on what to do at QB, and I should have just left Cam in. DJ matches Howard's monster day, and Julio was eyeing ODB... not enough. Showdown at 8-5.

Ram kicks SP - 125.9 to 88.3
Miller and Bennett were the only two not to do anything for Ram. Hilton and Nelson keep doing their thing. Palmer returns to his old ways, as does the "other" Kowski on the Patriots. Fighting at 4-9.
SP gets mid-value everywhere other than TE and a yardless multi-TD game from Ware. Left points on the bench here, but Ram's explosion would have won out anyway. Battle to the end at 8-5.

Face tates Chef - 105.8 to 88.7
Ben and Brown have a low, but good game. His Lions did well too. Well, Tate was a monster, and Face denies Chef's 10th win. Middle of the road at 6-7.
Chef drops his fourth straight after a 9-0 beginning. Only gotta start getting hot now though! Prater leads a week of monster kickers. Dude's on a roll. Time to rebound at 9-4.

Tlance deDrews Treff - 92.1 to 89.9
What??? T goes for less than 100? Champ stays alive with a big win on the back of his home QB. Tucker remains a force, the Ravens swamp the Fins and some Cowboy rookie plays well. Ready for a showdown at 7-6.
Treff travels back to 2009, 60 games ago, where Drew Brees last had a 0 TD home game. His new Shady came out blazing for him, but there's old Gilly with two TD vultures. Let the games begin at 8-5.

Bandit bears Joe - 113.2 to 99.2
Insult to injury? Bandit uses the Bears to beat Joe. A little help from everyone, and started the right Falcon this week. ;) Sure wouldn't mind seeing Olsen play football again though... been a while. It's on at 8-5.
And there's Joe... ho hum, would have beaten all but four teams, and sure enough plays one of them. Something tells me had Joe drafted DWill, this very nice looking team would be closer to the top. We'll never know, at 4-9.

...and the game of the week!

Fuzzy survives Lefty - 94.8 to 92

Fuzz gets a squeaky TD from Hill, and Crabtree answers Carr. Looks like a good deal moving Julio a couple weeks ago (what dummy gave you that sweet deal?) The Pats manhandle a rookie QB (as usual), and that is the difference. In a clusterphuck at 5-8.
Lefty came into Monday night with Vinny, and two Jets. Vinny came through, but he needed 29 more yards from his Powell/Enunwa combo in a valiant comeback effort. A frustrating season continues for Lefty, at 5-8.

Raiders end Buffalo's season for the second straight year. Rob Ryan has officially destroyed our secondary. Tyrod was terrible... no receivers or not.

I'm sad.

Should be a great final week for us though!!! Great work guys.

WEEK 13 STANDINGS

2016_MBBRL_WEEK_13.jpg

Notes from the A league

So you guys decided to make it interesting. Things really got turned upside down with the results last week as the only two teams with playoff hopes that won were Tlance and Bandit as Treff lost to Tlance thanks to that awesome performance by Drew Brees. TKO lost on a Monday Night miracle to Milk and both Chef and Steelers lost their games. So as of right now, here is where we sit:

#1 Chef 9-4 Four straight losses and still holding on to the #1 seed
#2 Treff 8-5 Has the division lead right now and holds the breakdown tie-breaker over TKO
#3 TKO 8-5 Has the division tie-breaker over Bandit
#4 Steelers 8-5 Has the breakdown tie-breaker over Bandit
#5 Bandit 8-5
#6 Tlance 7-6

Lefty, Fuzzy, Milk, Joe, Face, and Ram have all been eliminated

Athos division

This one is simple. Treff wins the division with a win or tie or a Tlance loss. Tlance needs to win and have Treff lose to win the division. Because of all the losses last week though, Tlance has another way in. If both Steelers and Bandit lose and Tlance wins, he would be the wild card because of the better breakdown record.

Porthos division

TKO and Bandit are tied but Bandit is one game back in division record which means the only way Bandit can win the division is if TKO loses or ties and he wins. If both lose or both win, TKO wins the division based on division record. If TKO loses the division his wild card prospects are slim because of his deficit in breakdown record to the other contenders. Bandit on the other hand with the strong performance last week in breakdown now has a chance at the wild card even if he doesn't win the division. There are lots of scenarios to get him in, but let's just say if he doesn't win the division he must have the best breakdown record of everybody else.

Aramis division

Chef and Steelers really clouded everything up with their losses last week. Chef is still clinging to his one game lead and the #1 seed. Chef clinches the division with a win or tie. Steelers must win and have Chef lose in order to win the division. Both are still alive for a wild card spot, but one of them could miss the playoffs. Get this, Chef could go from the #1 seed the week before the playoffs start to completely out of the playoffs if he loses, Steelers wins, TKO wins, and Bandit wins but passes him in breakdown which would make Steelers the winner of their division, TKO the winner of the Porthos division, and Bandit the wild card to go along with the winner of the Athos division. I'm not sure I've ever been in a league that a team with the #1 seed the week before the playoffs could be out of the playoffs the next week, but welcome to the MBBRL. Now that is parity (shout out to Joe for correcting that word earlier this year so I know the correct spelling now).

Relegation Station

Lefty power ranking 5.5
Ram power ranking 7.5
Milk power ranking 9.5

It's pretty much between these three at this point. Ram helped his cause with the best score last week and so did Milk with his win. As far as I can tell, Lefty needs to win and outscore Milk by at least 15 points to have a chance to be saved because neither he or Milk are catching anybody else in breakdown or points. Ram can catch some other people in breakdown, but a win would help his cause the most, because I don't think he can catch anybody else in points.

So there you have it. One week before the end of the regular season and nobody has even clinched a playoff birth in the A league as six teams battle it out to the end.

Notes from the B League

The B league is much less complicated as several things were clinched last week. Harold, who has a golden horseshoe up his ass this year clinched the Huns division and either the #1 or the #2 seed with his win last week. Shady clinched the Visogoths division and either the #2 or #3 seed with his win and Monkey's loss. Cheesehead clinched a playoff birth even though he lost but hasn't clinched the division yet. And the wild card will either be OBX or Barilko. This is how we stand right now:

#1 Harold 10-3
#2 Cheesehead 9-4
#3 Shady 8-5
#4 OBX 8-5 better breakdown record than everybody on the planet
#5 Barilko 7-6 2nd best breakdown record on the planet

Monkey, Foot, Smitty, Micro, Sam, BK, and Stomp have all been eliminated.

Visogoths division

With Shady's win last week and Monkey's loss, Shady has clinched the division at 8-5. The last week of games will just be for fun. Shady is tied for 4th in breakdown and has the 4th most points as well.

Ostrogoths division

With Barilko's win over Cheesehead and OBX's win over Micro, all three teams are still alive for a playoff birth. Barilko scored the most points last week which was huge because he gained 3 games in breakdown on OBX to at least give him an outside shot at the breakdown title. Neither OBX or Barilko really deserves to not be in the playoffs but sometimes in fantasy, things just aren't fair. Cheesehead clinches the division with a win or tie against OBX this week. OBX clinches the division if he beat Cheesehead this week, but Cheesehead would be the wild card. If Cheesehead wins and Barilko wins, Barilko would overtake OBX for the wild card but only if he catches him in breakdown.

Huns division

Harold clinched the division with his win last week to move to 10-3 and currently hold the #1 seed. He is 10-3 with a breakdown record of 60-83. Do you guys have any idea how much that defies the odds? For all intensive purposes, he should be either 5-8 or at best 6-7 with that breakdown record and he's at least four games better than that. It's crazy. Regardless, he can clinch the #1 overall seed with a win or a loss by Cheesehead and remember, the #1 seed is important, not only because you get to pick your opponent, but because if the breakdown winner is also the Super Bowl Champion, the #1 seed would move up to the A league with them because they are next in line.

Golden ticket to the A league (Breakdown champion)

OBX 112-30-1
Barilko 106-37

I'm just going to say it now, whichever of these teams doesn't make the playoffs gets my nomination for greatest MBBRL team to not make the playoffs. You have both had unbelievable seasons and it's a shame one of you won't make it. Those breakdown records are ridiculous. Tlance has the best breakdown record in the A league and he would be 19 games behind Barilko. And points wise you guys are 179 points clear of 3rd place in the B league and 76 points clear of Tlance's high point total in the A league.

With that being said, the B league might be the most top heavy league I've ever seen, especially a league with such an overall high quality of fantasy players. There are only four teams with a winning breakdown record (OBX, Barilko, Shady, and Cheesehead) and nobody else is even within 8 games of .500. As a contrast, in the A league 7 teams have a winning breakdown record with one only being one game under .500, which is exactly why nothing has been clinched there yet because it is so close.

Possible oblivion and death

Micro 3.5 power ranking
Stomp 9 power ranking
Smitty 9.5 power ranking

Good luck to everybody this week in all your leagues as I know this league is a lot of fun, but it's also nice to make some money.

Hey @canesandfinsfanatic , since you did all this cool research already, and I'm lazy, and is easier just to ask you....where do I standon the wild card if I lose to Fuzz and Tlance wins?

Great question commish. If you lost and Tlance won the division, you would be 8-6, so you would need Steelers to lose and either Bandit or TKO to lose to have a chance and you would need to gain a good bit in breakdown. It would definitely be better for you if Bandit won the Ostrogoths division because you already have a better breakdown record than TKO. Regardless right now Steelers breakdown record is 80-63 which is 7 games better than you at 73-70, so you would need him to lose and you would need to pass him in breakdown (you can't be tied because the next tie-breaker is points and there's no way you are catching him there). Basically you would need to have the best breakdown record of the 8-6 teams. So, in short, just win the division, it will be much easier that way.

Most amazing thing i see is how 2016 MBBRL has scored over a thousand more points...can that be ALL due to the decimal change we made??

That's my guess yes. if accounting for 8 starting spots, just taking a very rough average of .5 point increase, sometimes it's .9, others it's 0 (sometimes might even be over a point since we could add .9 rushing and .9 receiving/passing), kickers didn't get anything worth noting...but that's likely a minimum of 4 points per team, per week, which by itself is 672 points (4×12 teams x13 weeks), given the actual difference between '16 and '15 is 758 points (for KOTF at least, not 1000+), I'd say yes that's absolutely the difference
