@TKOSpikes
Need a favor from you. (At least, I think it's you.)
Are you the one who has been streaming QB in one of your leagues?
If so, what is your record in that league and can you give me the list of QB you've used to date?
I'm trying to make a point with someone and this would be great information to use.

Sorry. Not me. I've been Brees this year in most leagues.

Hey @averagejoe , I'm not the Droid you're looking for, but I've tried streaming at two points this season, one with Bortles, once with RW...both blew up in my face, so good luck convincing me :)

That isn't the argument I'm making with someone in one of my leagues.
This specific owner doesn't like that I reduced the QB passing TD to 3 points.
So I'm compiling information that QB stats are skewed as it is in a pass-happy NFL.
And even with TD being 3 points, 9 QB are in the top 25 in scoring.

I have a PPR league where QB points are... 1 per 35 yards passing. 6 per TD and -3 per INT. And -6 for a "pick-six".

I really think 200 and 2 should not equal 20 points for a QB. Throw a pick in there and it's still 18? In that scoring it would be 17 (and 14). Much more appropriate, imo.

But I would have to disagree with 3 for a TD. That's steep. Touchdowns are touchdowns. Dealing with the pass happy league should start with the yards, imo.

Hasn't chef gone from Eli, to Wentz, to Mariota and now Winston? Semi-streaming, maybe?

We hammer turnovers hard...-5 for int's and lost fumbles, -1 just for a fumble that isn't lost, and if it's a pick six? you lose 5 for the int, another 5 for hosing your team by allowing the defense to score. Heck we even do -1 per times sacked. in addition to these, negative 0.1 points per yards lost onsacks, and a yardage system simular to yours (0.1 per 3 yards passing...basically 1 per 30), keeps QB scoring not only in check, but more indicative of their actual contribution to their team winning or losing the real game.

With a scoring system like that, you really need an elite QB.

Well, what I've tried to do in this league is level the playing field as far as fantasy points are concerned.
PPR, passing TD = 3 pts is part of it.
This doesn't elevate one position over another.

Back in the day, fantasy points reflected milestones.
A 100-yard rushing game was considered a milestone.
So 100 yards was equal to 10 fantasy points.

A 250-yard passing game was considered "normal."
So 250 yards passing was also equal to 10 fantasy points.

Do you know how many 100-yard rushers there have been since 2010?
722.
Do you know how many 250-yard passers there have been since 2010?
1496. More than double.

I think it's time to adjust actual performance with today's metrics.
If the "norm" for a QB is now to have a 300-yard passing day, than 300 yards should equal 10 points.
(There have been 780 QB since 2010 with at least 300 passing yards.)

Plus there are only 32 starting QB.
Fantasy has skewed the QB position to a point where an elite QB can carry a fantasy team.
IMO, it should NOT be that way.

Granted, there are standouts at every position. But ultimately, all 8 starters of the fantasy team should be on equal footing.

Kind of backs my point up about the yards, no?

It does.
But yards are just part of it.

QB's get more luxuries in their fantasy points.
I'm probably alone here, but just the fact that a QB gets any kind of points for a passing TD could be considered a bonus.
How many RB, WR and TE get multiple TD games consecutively and regularly?
And in reality, when Manning throws a TD to ODB, in the real NFL, who gets credit for the 6 points?
ODB - he's the one who is credited with scoring 6 points.
Not Manning.
Yet in fantasy, the QB also (typically) gets another 6 points.

I'm still rewarding a QB for throwing a TD pass.
Even if it is only 3 points.

And c'mon, even with 3 TD passing points, there are still 9 QB in the top 25 in scoring. 36%
Bump this 6 points, and the QB's jump to 18 QB in the top 25.
Really?
Carson Palmer and Blake Bortles is better (considering fantasy points) than Melvin Gordon and Ezekiel Elliott?

QB have benefited way too long IMO.
Adjusted passing TD fixes this skewed perception.

Carson Palmer and Blake Bortles are more important to their team's success than Gordon and Zeke, SD and Dallas can win with whomever and Alf/Dunbar, ARZ and JAX may as well forfeit without Palmer and Bortles..so yeah, kinda.
