That was a great game 7. I really didn't have a dog in the fight as I like both teams, but congratulations to all the long suffering Cubs fans, although the Indians are not far behind you now in the suffering category. That's the 2nd straight World Series that they've been in (1997 & 2016) and lost in a game 7 in extra innings. It's one thing to not get there at all for the 71 year stretch like the Cubs (1945-2016), but it's entirely different to get there and lose in such brutal fashion. I looked it up and the only other franchise in the four major sports with a longer championship drought longer than Cleveland in 1948 is the Cardinals in football. Apparently they have been around since 1920 in different cities and their last championship was in 1947. I would not have gotten that correct in a trivia contest.
