Dang Chef! Not sure what you need to make the playoffs, but that has to give you a shot.

I have to say, after dropping to 0-2 against the Chef, I am not sure I want to see him again.

Sorry Joe- posted this while it was still close. Wasn't trying to rub it in.
No worries Fuzz. I'm usually off the grid most of Sunday. Plus I know that none of you are vindictive.
I'm more worried about Chef at the moment, wondering if his monster score will knock me out of the 4th seed...

Came down to you and me for the division last season too. Guess it's your turn this year.

From what I figure you are through with breakdown Chef made it close for sure
better wait for Bandit or WW but I think he was 9 back in breakdown and isn't that the tiebreaker. He gained but you should have enough to hold him off

Chef is actually 7 1/2 back in breakdown (his 3 ties count .5 each). If he holds on to the top score that will give him 11, which means you need a 4 to stay ahead of him - i.e. have a higher score than 4 other teams.

You've already beaten Treff and Sam and tied Tlance and you're only 2 points behind Barilko, who's done. So three points from Miller will do it for you. And even with a zero you might still get there by ending up ahead of Ram and Milk, who are both looking weak in their big game.

Looks everybody's doing their part for the wamsil to catch Milk and avoid relegation... except for the wamsil. A combined FIVE POINTS from the four players in the late games.

Just wanted to let you guys know that we will be joined by @FaCe-LeE-uS next year in the Keepers as he has locked up the breakdown title in the Barbarians. Now the best thing that can happen for Barilko or Sam (whichever one ends up 2nd in power rankings) is for Face to win the Super Bowl, because not only did he lock up the breakdown title, but he also locked up the #1 seed and the most points, so if he wins the Super Bowl too, only one Barbarian (Face) would move up. That should give you guys something and somebody to root for in the playoffs. Just in case you guys don't know the website, here is the link to the Barbarians home page in case you want to check up on your new best friend Face and how he's doing the next couple of weeks.

By the way, any chance we could vote to do away with divisions next year? I hate them. Don't think they make any sense in fantasy sports. there is no rhyme or reason to who is in which division and it only serves to make it harder for the best teams to make the playoffs.

No offense Ram, but Chef should be in this year. If Milk makes it at 9-5, then he would deserve to go. I hate that Chef/Joe miss out despite navigating a much tougher schedule with the same record.

Well all the plotting and planning I did in my $$ leagues came crashing down in the first 15 minutes of the first rd of playoffs. Still managed to win two and have a slim chance at the 3rd - - but lost Rawls, Yeldon, Dalton and Vjax (lesser impact) in the process - going forward will be awfully difficult.

It seems the Boyz get it going against your guys for some reason. Even Crowell wanted part of the action, and I almost started him over Sims. Funny thing is, I was dead set on playing Mathews and he would've been the right guy to bench. :noidea:

If Miller doesn't get 3 points against the Giants, it will be further proof that the apocalypse is upon us. ;)

So, don't know how close I am to relegation, but Calvin and Dez sure did not help me this week... Not to mention amendola with only an OK outing...

The thing about my team this season is that when it goes bad it really goes bad...

Warning: a fairly obscure movie reference is ahead.

I should change my first name to Phil.

Why, you ask?

So then Ted could say to me: "Ginn, Phil."

Thanks for the explanation Wil. I'm not holding my breath. I could see Miller getting 40-some yards, and then fumbling (giving me 2 total points).
Congrats Fuzz on clinching the division. Speaking of division...

I disagree t.
If the idea behind FF is to emulate real football, then there should be divisions. The NFL has them.

I know you didn't mention points, but I hear too many fantasy owners complaining about "points for." If points were the deciding factor in the NFL then the Jaguars and Saints would be in playoff contention. And if "points for" were the end all in FF, then why even play head-to-head? End of rant.

I like the way the MBBRL does, well, EVERYTHING. Keep the status quo. Keep divisions.

I'm all for a vote.

Head-to-head itself is pretty unfair. But fun. The idea with divisions is for fun, too: it keeps playoff chances alive longer and means more games that matter at the end of the season. And it doesn't affect the top two teams, who get in regardless.

(But Bandit has really suffered being in such a rough division. By breakdown and PF he was the third-best team in the league both years he's been in, and hasn't made the playoffs.)

Here is the difference though Joe:

The Jaguars are able to influence their opponent's point total by playing defense. I know we joke about "fantasy defense", but the reality is that we can not affect our opponents point total line a real football team can. That is apples and oranges.

Points for in fantasy is more like point differential in real football.

I will always vote against a system that favors luck over skill, whether it mimics real football or not. Since some of the pro leagues are discussing doing away with divisions, I think we should too.
