I had Buck Allen at at least one point a few weeks ago thinking its only a matter of time before Forsett goes down, but with other injuries/byes, couldn't afford to hang on and wait

My Scottish dialect needs some work, but I'm pretty sure "gang aft agley" has something to do with bye weeks.

WEEK 11 RECAP

Wanted to go ahead and get this up with Thanksgiving right around the corner. Week 11 saw a lot of low scoring games along with another season ending injury to a running back (Justin Forsett) and essentially ended the season of another (Marshawn Lynch) who will be out a month. Tlance once again scored the most points (tied with Treff) and now has a two game lead on the field for the #1 seed. On a side note, it was a really classy move by TKO (being okay with it) and Wil (using commish powers to make the change) to put Thomas Rawls in Treff's lineup for him when Lynch was declared inactive. Not only did that secure the win for him this week, but it makes a huge difference in the all important breakdown tiebreaker since Treff went 10-0-1 instead of the 1-10 he would have went if Lynch was left in. Like I said, very classy move.

The Keepers hold a 528 point lead over the Barbarians.

Fuzzy is still leading the points and breakdown, but Tlance is closing the gap rapidly. Bandit is still sitting third in points and breakdown, and he's tied for 3rd in the power rankings, but is 4-7.

Last week tightened everything up in the Keepers (except for Tlance) and it's a good bet that both the Athos and Aramis divisions are going to come down to the last week of the season. Right now your playoff teams would be:

#1 Tlance (9-2) Has a two game lead over the field for the #1 seed.
#2 Milk (7-4) 2nd least points = 2nd best record
#3 Fuzzy (6-5) Holds the division tiebreaker right now because it's a 3 way tie.
#4 Chef (7-4) Still the only wild card team with this record

Outside looking in

#5 Lefty (6-5) has the best breakdown record of the 6-5 wild card teams
#6 Joe (6-5) 2nd best breakdown record of the 6-5 wild card teams
#7 Treff (6-5) 3rd best breakdown record of the 6-5 wild card teams
#8 Ram (6-5) worst breakdown record of the 6-5 wild card teams

Stranger things have not happened

#9 Bandit (4-7) has to win out and get a crapload of help including Chef losing all 3 remaining games and no other wild card team getting to 8 wins. Bandit would most likely hold the tiebreaker for anybody he's tied with since he has an 8 game breakdown lead over the next closest wild card team.

Sam, Barilko, and TKO have all been eliminated from playoff contention.

Relegation Race

The thing that needed to happen to help Barilko and Sam the most didn't last week as Milk won again. Now they are both going to need fantastic performances over the last 3 weeks to avoid relegation.

Barilko 5 power ranking
Sam 7.5 power ranking
Ram 14 power ranking
TKO 15 power ranking
Milk 16.5 power ranking

In the Barbarians last week, Face really distanced himself from the pack scoring the most points for the 2nd straight week. He now is tied with Monkey for the best record and he has a 103 point lead over Shady for 1st in points and an 11 game breakdown lead over Smitty for 1st. Correct me I'm wrong @wilwhite or @TREFF , but it is possible for only one team to move up if one person ends up with the best breakdown record, the #1 seed for best record, the most points, and wins the Super Bowl correct? Right now Face has a great shot at that unless someone can knock him off in the playoffs. The race for best breakdown record and the golden ticket to the A league:

Face 80-37-4
Smitty 69-51-1
Shady 68-51-2
Cheeshead 67-50-4
Steelers 65-52-4
Monkey 65-55-1

Your playoff teams in the Barbarians would be:

#1 Face (8-3) tied with Monkey but better breakdown record
#2 Monkey (8-3) has given up 55 less points than any other MBBRL team
#3 Steelers (6-4-1) has essentially clinched the Huns division, the only way he can lose it is if he loses the next three games and OBX wins the next three games.
#4 Cheesehead (7-4) finally back to his winning ways he's the only wild card team at 7-4.

Still Alive

#5 Smitty (6-5) has a better breakdown record than Stomp.
#6 Stomp (6-5) has a worse breakdown record than Smitty.

Hope is fading quickly

#7 Shady (5-6) best breakdown record of the 5-6 teams
#8 BK (5-6) 2nd best breakdown record of the 5-6 teams
#9 Haroldseattle (5-6) 3rd best breakdown record of the 5-6 teams but has been on fire lately.

About as much chance as Bandit

#10 OBX (3-7-1) As stated before, only chance for the playoffs is for him to win out and Steelers to lose out

Eliminated

Foot and Micro

And on the flip side of things, in the race for Dante's inferno:

Micro 3.5 power ranking
Foot 5.5 power ranking
Harold 11 power ranking
OBX 11 power ranking

Here are your all important first division games to end the year.

Sam (4-7) v. Tlance (9-2) Sam has to win to keep hopes alive for staying in the A league and the playoffs.

Lefty (6-5) v. Milk (7-4) Huge matchup for 1st place in the Huns division a loss by Lefty will almost certainly
eliminate him

Barilko (3-8) v. Fuzzy (6-5) Barilko looks to play spoiler and Fuzzy looks to take control of the division

Joe (6-5) v. Treff (6-5) The winner will be tied for 1st in the division no matter what. Loser will have an uphill battle.

Chef (7-4) v. Bandit (4-7) Chef needs to win to stay ahead in the wild card battle. Bandit needs to win because he's just so angry this year and to stay alive.

Ram (6-5) v. TKO (2-9) Hey with perfect timing the guy who owned Justin Forsett meets the guy that stashed his backup on his bench. Ram is limping to the finish line, but hoping for another huge game from Cam. TKO wishes we could start the season over now, because his team looks pretty damn good.

OBX (3-7-1) v. Steelers (6-4-1) Steelers can wrap up the division with a win or tie. OBX must start winning now.

Micro (3-8) v. Foot (3-8) In a battle for absolutely nothing, who will end up with a better record.

Shady (5-6) v. BK (5-6) Loser is essentially eliminated from the playoff picture

Stomp (6-5) v. Cheesehead (7-4) Stomp must win to keep his playoff hopes alive.

Smitty (6-5) v. Face (8-3) Smitty must win to keep his division hopes alive.

Haroldseattle (5-6) v. Monkey (8-3) Harold tries to score against the greatest fantasy defense of all time. Monkey must win to stay out in front of the Ostrogoths division.

And a Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families and one thing I am certainly thankful for is the gentlemen in this league. Here are your standings:

That's correct!

Face is in a rough division, though, so these last three weeks may not be so easy for him.

So head-to-head record means nothing within our division?
I've been in this league for how long? And I still don't know?
I beat Fuzzies. But Treff beat me. And Fuzzies beat Treff.
So it's still power that decides?

Week 12 Picks
short week
tlance cranberries the Sam-White armada.
Lefty giblets Milky.
Barilko stuffs Fuzzies.
Joe mashes Treff.
Bandit pies Chef.
Ram yams TKO.

I might be wrong, but I think the division tiebreaker goes by division record, then breakdown and there is actually no head-to-head aspect now that I read back in the posts, but @TREFF and @wilwhite have to weigh in on this to make sure I am correct. If this is correct, then I will eliminate any head-to-head references from the recaps from now on as well. I think the reason we eliminated the head-to-head thing is that there is no better indicator of who is a worthy playoff team than overall breakdown record because that shows how good you have been against the entire league for the whole season and not just how good you've been against one team for a couple of weeks. This is what I found from mine, Treff's and Wil's posts before this season:

Now with that being said, I would like to make a suggestion that we use breakdown record as the first tiebreaker for the wild card, the seeding, and the 2nd tiebreaker for division ties after division record instead of points for. I think breakdown record is a better indicator of a team's overall season than points for is and we could use points for as the next tiebreaker if teams have the same breakdown record. Thoughts from everyone?????

Since this isn't any serious type of league changing "legislation", does anyone feel we really need a poll for this one, or can we just go with whatever we hash out here? I'm thinking just going with it should be sufficient

Yeah, just go with it - it doesn't favor one league or the other, doesn't touch on any other rules, and in other places in our league rules breakdown has priority over PF anyway.

Agreed...far too many dang polls lately anyways

Thanksgiving picks:

Tlance over Sam: I think I finally found somebody with bigger RB2 problems than me.

Lefty over Milk: lefty's team is better, but I think this one comes down to the TE battle and Milk's receivers. If Milk has a good turkey day, it will be yet another victory.

Barilko over Fuzzy: both teams deserve to win this week. I think Brady lays a turd this week in his first and only real dud of the season.

Treff over Joe: Hilton and Cooks burn Joe in he game of the week.

Chef over Bandit: chef tops Bandit because well, that is how Bandit's year has gone.

TKO over Ram- best 2-9 team of all time.

Seeing as how there was never any dissenting opinions offered on the breakdown playoffs seeding discussion, it was assumed we agreed on the breakdown record to determine that 4th spot

Bandit over Chef - Burt Reynolds guarantees it.
Tlance over Sammy - AP and Nuk have a feast.
Lefty over Milk - Cobb shucks da Bears.
Barilko over Fuzzy - Palmer imitates Brady; Brady doesn't.

I keep going back and forth between Sproles and White. I just KNOW White will be a focal point of the offense his week, but I like Sproles' matchup also. I wish the Eagles played Sunday so I could have more time.

Thanks for looking that up. Dummie Joe is just making more work for our statition Bandit. I'm sure reviewing the past conversations was not easy. Thanks. And sorry for making you do that.

I guess I just have to keep my power ranking moving in a positive direction.
