How very surprising.

He makes plenty of mistakes, just like any coach. I have been critical of his inability/refusal to adjust his plan to game conditions, especially a reluctance to keep a player in the backfield for pass pro (and his protege does much the same in Cinci).

To say he isn't properly regarded as a top coach in the NFL is not paying attention though. His assistants continue to be signed away every year in hope of bringing some of that success along with them. That can be traced to Shanny and above them as well. He took over a 4-12 team with a bust rookie QB and is so far 61-28 and headed to his 2nd SB in 5 seasons. Division winner and playoffs in 4 of his 5 seasons.
