23 ppg despite his throwing in the dirt. All AP on those points. If I could post his games I would, for your sake.
No INT's because his throws were far from anybody..

He was regarded by people in the know as not being a good QB.

He isn't a good QB. He's a QB who won't turn the ball over, won't lose you a game, and can help manage an offense..

Best of luck to your team, but McNabb is not the answer.
Unless of course you like 3 and out for a whole 40 minutes of football.
He won't throw across the middle, innaccurate downfield and can't run anymore.

The question isn't is he a good QB, question is, is he better than Hanie or TJ Yates. I say probably. Couldn't hurt to pick him up and see.

McNabb>>Hanie.

I wouldn't take McNabb over Hanie, and I don't see any reason Chicago would either considering Hanie has been in that system for years and has shown the ability to be able to make plays.

That said, it wouldn't hurt for a team like the Texans who are on their 3rd stringer who is a rookie as well to take a shot. However, they have found another guy in Delhomme who they think will fit better so that's that.

I really don't see any other team that would really care for his services 11 games into the season.

Delhomme is worse than McNabb. I mean really? He couldn't start in Cleveland.

No it's not. Delhomme would throw 4 INT's a game. At least McNabb doesn't throw a lot of INT's. He would just have to hand off to Foster and Tate.

These GMs are paid millions to know what they're doing. If they think McNabb is done, he probably is.

I heard Yates was MVP of some volleyball game. That alone tells me he's better than McNabb. McNabb would probably spike the ball in front of the net and shrug it off.

And Tom Brady was the 200th best player in his draft class according to this theory.. I hate relying on the cliched Reductio Ad Absurdum to make the point, but GMs make horrible decisions all the time...

the only teams with any stake in McNabb at this point are the Texans and Bears. the Bears run the Martz offense which is contrary to the McNabb skillset.. the only true fit was the Texans, and I think they made a mistake unless Yates is a rare rookie who can win right away

But with McNabb it hasn't been just 1 GM. That's been 3 in just a few years who have decided McNabb stinks.

The Texans may still sign him, and as a FA at a cheaper price.

If he was good, won't turn the ball over, and won't lose you the game, then why in the hell did he not win at least 3 Superbowls in Philly when they had outstanding defenses? I will tell you why, he wasn't good, he turned the ball over at the wrong time, and because of that they lost big games. He is very overrated. Back up Qb's in Philly even won games when McNabb was injured because the teams were so good.

You're still missing the point. Everybody agrees he stinks. It's a matter of does he stink more than yates or delhomme. At least GMs have taken a flier on mcnabb, delhomme has been out of the league forever. And if you're still trying ti make a serious playoff run, I'm not sure how smart it is to rely on a 5th round rookie to help carry you.
