he's familiar with the offense. he has a strong arm to throw it downfield to AJ. he's a caretaker type QB (never turns it over)....

I think it's a perfect fit

I agree. End of the day, they lose nothing. He won't be expected to win games for them in Houston.

From here on, no matter who is their QB, they'll be there to manage the offense, not expected to win games with their arm.

McNabb > whoever their 3rd stringer is.

That's why you sign him.

the Vikings were 6-10 last season. they're 1-4 since McNabb was benched. and the defense is ranked 30th in points allowed. The Texans are 2nd in pts allowed...

as far the Texans not putting in a claim it's possible because of the politics behind the decision (Kubiak's a Shannahan protege)

but I'd rather see Yates/Delhomme than McNabb if we face the Texans in the 1st rd of the playoffs

McNabb Didn't get the job done. That has a lot to do with the 30th-ranked defense. Wore them out by the end of the third quarter. I think Chicago may pick him up.

McNabb can't get the ball to anyone, esp. downfield.
He could not get a first down in the second half of the first three games this season.
He's done in everyones mind, but his own. He can't hit a receiver in stride, either behind, high or it skips off the grass in front of the receiver.
I had high hopes for him at the beginning of the season, he just don't care anymore.
Just ask Ried, Shannahan and now Frazier..

I think it's telling that 3 teams have decided they don't want him anymore in pretty short order. That has to mean something.

His last 4 full games he only threw one INT and the Vikes averaged 23 ppg. I know stats can be misleading, but a team in need of a game manager should have given him chance
