Easy RG3 hopes to have an equal career with Mcnabb, how soon we forget things. Mcnabb was a beast in his prime and carried some pretty bad offenses for the most part. If RG3 can equal what Mcnabb did there's gonna be a lot of happy Skins fans and many sad Cowboy, Giants and Eagle fans

Nothing to do with being an opposing fan, but I never thought McNabb was that great.

never thought mcnabb was great and the decline was rapid... but Donnie had an awesome NFL career that not many get to say. I'd certainly call it successful as an individual player in professional football.

I'd say the same about danny white and I dogged danny with the best of um back in the day

Didn't Mcnabb in the gang go to the NFC champion ship like 3x's in a row, go to the SB once and win like 6 or 7 division titles in a row. Man I would take that in fact if Romo's resume read this way he'd be a sure fire HOF'er I believe. Look at Mcnabb's numbers they might shock you. Especially his TD to INT ratio. I know numbers lie but his on the field results do justice to his numbers. The one year he had one great wr he marched his way to the SB. In fairness he always had a great defense behind him and a good RB; I personally fill like MCnabb is grossly under rated.....just my opinion.

Steve Young: Career Stats at NFL.com Numbers or very similar......LOL the difference is Steve young is a SB Champion and a MVP. Amazing what a ring does for a guys Career. Young is an obvious HOFer and an all Time Great and no I'm not saying McFlabb is as good as young on any planet cause Steve's a winner. What I am saying is his numbers are very comparable and I personally hopes he makes the HOF and should get consideration for the Hall IMHO.

I'd say that says more about the Cowboys than it does McNabb. We didn't have good teams for quite awhile after 1996.
:agree: But he dominated the Division.

I did love that play where Shanahan benched McNabb, and put in Rex Grossman who turned the ball over for a touchdown on his first play.

Fucking hilarious.

I think 40k is a big number for passing yards and 300 TD passes. Kind of like 3000 hits in baseball. The 40 k however may go up since its a pass happy league now. McNabb could have used a couple of more decent seasons. He went down hill fast.

All time greats with 40K yards - Testaverde, Kerry Collins and Almost David Krieg...

Bledsoe didnt get 40 k?? I thought he may have too. I think McNabb needed 40 k. I use to say that before he retired.

I wasnt meaning 40k was automatic. I just think it was a benchmark for a McNabb type player. I think when presenting his resume- 5 times to the NFC Champ game, 40k yrds. rushing yds??- a better case could be made

Wow, had no idea Favre threw for 70k. 11 of 14 that threw for 40k are in or will be in Hall. The way it looks Eli, Big Ben, Rivers, Romo, Rodgers should reach 40k. Ryan as well but he is still young. To me the only for sure HOF out of that is Rodgers and Im not sure why to be honest. He has been great only a few yrs.

I think It's several Qb's in the hall who haven't thrown 40k. I think with QB TD/INT ratio, Passer rating, and Win loss hold more value. Oh yeah
and those Rings baby.

Well I guess perception is in the eye of the beholder.
Because I always thought he was overrated!
Eli Manning has two superbowl rings & he is grossly overrated.

If Mcnabb was a more accurate passer or if the eagles has a different QB who knows they may have had multiple Championships with their defense they had.
Sure he has a nice resume I give you that. Many Qbs in the history of this sport had way worse resume & teams behind them, but were better Qbs than McNabb.

& he has only gotten worse as he entered TV land. He really has no business on TV IMO.
