Linebacker Shea McClellin (hand), defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff (concussion), center Roberto Garza (ankle) and left guard Matt Slauson (ankle) were ruled out of the contest Saturday. Special teams standout Sherrick McManis (quad) also will not play.

Bears' depth will be tested vs. Jets

Right when Shea finally shows us signs of promise. Ratliff being out could also hurt against a good running offense. Time to test out that defensive line depth we've heard so much about. Ego and Sutton going to have to step in and get it done again.

I just dont think we will see much fallout against the run with the rookies. If they run it will be at Houston, so they might cycle in the rookies within the drives.

Based on the first two games, I'm impressed with our depth in a way I haven't been in recent years. The Packers always seem to throw the next guy out there and do OK with it. But now we're starting to see us doing the same thing.
