I have to say that I don't want McCarthy fired. I think this season is a transitional year. The draft last year was very good, but it will be another year for the players to really figure things out. The rookie receivers will have a year in the system and the defense will have a year with the new coordinator. Another year of adding a couple of free agents (what Ted would never have done), and another good draft and the team could be really good next season.

Hope Packers fire McCarthy. Didn't like him the moment he turned his back on Favre.

I agree. He looks for the big play too much. Sometimes it pays off as evidence by his TD to Tonyan, but it also can bite the team with stalled-off drives.

Other aspects of the lack of check-downs are the plays being run and the route break-offs. Three drives in a row last night in the second half it was 3rd and short and McCarthy had everyone running 10+ yard routes. Two of those three had absolutely zero check down options available when pressure forced Rodgers to move or dump it off quickly. When Rodgers does have to move, no receivers are coming back to the ball or working to get open towards Rodgers' side of the field. Both issues have reared their ugliness consistently all year long and certainly buried the team last night.

This is a big reason why drives stall. On the flip side is just what your saying about MM calling a play that has all his receivers running down the field when they need 3 yards for a first down. This has been an issue for several years now.

hard to use last night as a barometer. Refs were terrible and inconsistent last night but on the whole I agree we arent disciplined right now. Part of that comes with the youth movement.
McCarthy made poor decisions last night and Rodgers couldn't hit open receivers.

McCarthy and his staff are doing a terrible job. Too many players are making stupid mistakes.

After the loss next week in minny, MM will be on borrowed time. Missing the playoffs 2 years in a row will be one of the reasons it’s time to clean house. I know I know, watch what you wish for but I think The MM regime has run its course and it just seems he has lost the players respect.

Bye bye Mike...if you're too stupid to learn from your mistakes you need to go. Thanks for the Lombardi trophy, but you've been here too long and your style is antiquated and tired.

Just read an article about MM's possible replacements. All of them are Offensive coaches. How bout going to the other side of the ball and look for a defensive coach? I think that would be a good change.

The articles are coming out of the wood work about who's to blame for the shit show we are watching this season. Several point to both, McArthy and Rodgers. This I agree with. Also mentions the lack of talent Rodgers has around him. This, I also agree with. Its been a very disappointing year. I hope they give us reason to be optimistic for next year when this season is over which cant come fast enough.

Almost as if they are tanking on purpose huh?
Secretly they probably want MM gone. The bright side is if they lose out they should get a top 10 top 5 draft pick.

This is the biggest shit show I've seen by this team. They're uninspired, don't work or show any effort once the play is past them which is lazy. They're completely stupid about how they do their jobs, they don't seem to give a shit about anything. Fuck them, McCarthy needs to go, along with every other coach on this team. They need to stop believing in what TT brought in and get themselves some players that actually give a shit....fucking lazy fucking losers

This team quit on McCarthy after the loss to Minnesota.

McCarthy has one foot on a banana peel and the other one out the door.

If McCarthys office isn’t being cleared out as we speak, I am going to be disappointed

I can live with a loss, what I can't is them not competing. They just don't give a damn.
