Speaking of catchers, the John Buck run is over. He is on the scrap heap-Castro is the new backstop for the Fuzzies.

Anyone interested in Puig?

Very possible... the question is, with whom are you interested?

Anyone interested in Puig?

You may be asking more than I can part with, but shoot me an offer. I too am intrigued.

And here I thought the Puig post prefaced by a flying pig denoted sarcasm...:)

I've come to the realization that whenever Michael Beller of SI loves a player it's generally the kiss of death.

Watch out, Gausman!!! :ss:

I know this Alvarez kid is a nice prospect, but I'm surprised the Tigers didn't give Anibal's spot to Smyly... do they just love him in the position he's in right now to move him out?

I heard Leyland won't use Benoit or Valverde tonight, so I'm just guessing he wants to know he can count on Smyley tonight.
I'd hate to think they couldn't have Smyley as their 6th when they needed him down the road. :(

Uggla is ranked 21 for 2nd baseman, 37 for MI.

In comparison looking at what's out there ranked above Uggla:
Uggla's got Zack Cozart by 5 HR's, but Cozart has 64 more points of BA. Runs & RBI's are equal.

Uggla's got Didi Gregorious by 6 HR's but Didi has 138 more points in BA. If you factor in the extra AB's Uggla has, Runs & RBI's are about equal.

On the other side of the coin, there are 15 MI players currently owned that are ranked below Uggla.
Mike Aviles - Part time until now
Neil Walker - Finally worked out his suck
Rickie Weeks - Holding out hope?
Michael Young - doesn't suck but doesn't do much else.
Erick Aybar - Go Angels
Jose Reyes - DL
Aaron Hill - DL
Jeff Keppinger - Filling a hole
Jurickson Profar - Under 50 AB's
Nick Franklin - Under 50 AB's
Hanley Ramirez - Just off DL
Gordon Beckham - Lightning in a bottle?
Danny Espinosa - DL
Derek Jeter - DL
Billy Hamilton - Minors
Well, the Uggla honeymoon is over as well. Was just a sentimental connection anyways, and yhis week's ass kicking courtesy of TKO finally forced the issue. Not sure if I upgraded or not, but it's different.

BTW, glad I had to sift back through to find this post, becuase I missed the Boogeyman post!

Down Town Domonic Brown!

-- why hasn't anyone picked up Quentin? I'm staring at him, but don't want to jinx him, as he is producing in my money league... same with Ozuna. No love here. I picked up Revere a few days back, but he hasn't started since! And here I thought he was just getting going, but Charlie Manuel had different thoughts and Mayberry backed them up... I might have to make a move here, but Revere's speed could help me.

I kinda like Ozuna, but i'm wondering about RBI's and I don't see the power people are talking about. Quentin's knee still scares me.

Same issues as Chef with Ozuna, good average but the counting stats aren't there. I have been tempted though.
As for Quentin....I actually missed that one. I thought he was on somebodies team already.
I just took care of that for you so you don't have to stare at him.:suds:thanks
Now I just have to hope Hanley doesn't reinjure himself on Monday.

When the announcer talks about how Panda is gutting a play out, is he being sarcastic? I'd love just once to hear one of them say "He busted a gut on that one!". :laugh3:

I could be wrong, but I get the impression that Prado doesn't like playing for Kirk Gibson.

I am a little curious as to what it might take to lure Puig from the Sarnia Tigers. I am guessing you would want more than Daniel Nava?

All eyes were on me for Victor and yet it was Fuzzy who was the silent predator.

And to the Fuzzies goes the Victor. Had my eye on him as soon as he was dropped. Was afraid with all the chatter someone else would pick him up so I grabbed Castro just in case. Happy to add one more Tiger to my lineup in addition to A Jackson and Miggy.

Been wondering the same thing, what is a Puig worth.

Sorry, the day I stay away usually.
For Puig, I've been scouring the teams that expressed some interest...
I almost offered him for Chapman if that's an idea.
I wimped out though....so that's an indication of how I value him.
Open for offers.
Not sure if I'm right or wrong but I'm ballparking him in that range. :)
