The roster is set at 20 players 10 starters and 10 bench with a limit of 2 on both kickers and D/ST. The other positions will not have a limit.

I am going to try and explain this, and please remember it is new to me also. Harold came up with the idea and I have tried to tweak it to work for us.

During the season your roster is set to 20 players.
Right after our championship game (week 16) the WW will be locked, but your roster space will be expanded to 25.
Soon after the NFL draft we will have our rookie/WW draft which will be 5 rounds.
At this point every one should have there 25 spots full, the WW will be unlocked.
At a cut point (1st weekend of preseason) we will have the rosters cut back to 20 players. I will give a weeks notice and lock the WW again.
Once every one is back down to 20 players, the WW will be unlocked but all players will be on waivers for 3 days.

I know I can do all this on Fantrax except for locking all players on waivers, I need to figure that one out.

If there is anything you are uncertain about or think needs to be changed now is the time to discuss it.

It does need to be mentioned, this would be for next year. This year's draft will be 20 rounds.

I like the taxi idea. I think the rule 5 draft is too complicated and not really a fit for football.

As for unbalanced trades, no big deal. The owner would just have to fix by the cut deadline to get back to 20.

I agree. Should be no lackadaisical attitude about meeting the deadline.

I like your idea Barilko, but I think it might be going against the rule.

While making it easier to push the hard decision down the road, you don't want to make it to easy. With it set at 25 you still have to make decisions.

The WW might be a good idea. My thinking was the same as D1, open the WW after the draft. Closing them again to keep people from abusing the cut down period.


Other opinions on this are appreciated.

It is new, there's still debate as to who is in, who won't be in depending on the rules setup, I'd keep a watchful eye, at the moment it's "full" but at any given moment depending on certain votes, there could be 1-5 openings

There will be PPR in the scoring. No IDP.

I like your idea Barilko, but I think it might be going against the rule.
