MBBRL D2 Taxi Squad discussion

The roster is set at 20 players 10 starters and 10 bench with a limit of 2 on both kickers and D/ST. The other positions will not have a limit.

I am going to try and explain this, and please remember it is new to me also. Harold came up with the idea and I have tried to tweak it to work for us.

During the season your roster is set to 20 players.
Right after our championship game (week 16) the WW will be locked, but your roster space will be expanded to 25.
Soon after the NFL draft we will have our rookie/WW draft which will be 5 rounds.
At this point every one should have there 25 spots full, the WW will be unlocked.
At a cut point (1st weekend of preseason) we will have the rosters cut back to 20 players. I will give a weeks notice and lock the WW again.
Once every one is back down to 20 players, the WW will be unlocked but all players will be on waivers for 3 days.

I know I can do all this on Fantrax except for locking all players on waivers, I need to figure that one out.

If there is anything you are uncertain about or think needs to be changed now is the time to discuss it.

we can protect a certain amount of players- lets say for argument sake 15 players

We have a 2 round draft, you are not Forced into making any Draft picks in this draft.

If you do draft a player you must give up a minor league draft pick to the team you chose the player from...

First round of the rule 5 draft= 4th round minor league pick
2nd round of rule 5 draft= 5th round minor league pick...


Order of draft is based on last seasons record- last place picks first, etc...

I'm confused how this would work with football.
where are these draft picks coming from that are considered "minor league draft picks"
the rookie draft?
is there another redraft after the rookie draft?

Not my cup of tea, with or without the taxi squad, but I won't make my standard arguments against it. Just leave it there

Slow draft. most likely middle of June, beginning of July.

Not so sure about the rule 5 draft pick/roster protection part, but if that's what the majority want, I'll do my best to figure it out

TBH I will probably vote no on both, but will figure it out if voted in.
