I think something is wrong with Syndegaard. How the fuck do you miss Chase Utley? He's been hit 180 times in his career. He doesn't even try to get out of the way

He ain't staying still with 99 coming towards him. My guess is that it was a message pitch that the ump overreacted to.

Now that you say that, that makes a lot of sense and explains why the Mets manager was so upset about the ejection. He obviously wasn't trying to throw a strike or a ball just off the plate, and in a tie game it wouldn't make sense to hit someone so he was trying to fulfill his perceived obligation of "defending his (former) teammate" or whatever without costing this year's team anything. Then the umpire thought he was trying to hit him and missed and overreacted and threw him out of the game.

really what it boiled down to is Syndegaard didn't have the balls to drill him so he pulled this stunt which clearly didn't work. The whole thing was a disaster and more embarrassing than anything. Wrong time in the game, a pitch that was never going to hit anyone and he ends up getting thrown out. If you're gonna do it then do it and get it over with. He ended up looking like a fool.

Mr Mediocre might have run himself out of town with this latest stunt. Harvey has no one left in NY who will defend him and he shouldn't. Don't be surprised 6 weeks from now when you read the Mets are shopping him everywhere.

the fuckin clown is 28 yrs old has a CAREER record of 31-30 and he thinks he deserves Strasburg $$. During Spring Training when he pitched the Mets turned off the radar gun readings on the scoreboard because Harvey is so sensitive to the fact he doesn't throw as hard as the rest of Mets starters. They treat this asshole like the child he is, he con't to act like a child and people are surprised. Incredible. They have to pray he pitches well so they can dump him asap because right now he has practically no trade value at all. Let's hope he con't to get his ass kicked on a regular basis

Even IF he pitches well what team would want him? He isn't worth Strasburg money. He isn't worth the money he has right now!

As long as he's still a Met, I'll hope for him to pitch well, but honestly I think it's time to move on.

I've said before, he might turn out to be a great pitcher somewhere else, but I don't think he's going to do it in Queens. It would probably be very good for him to get away from NY.

that's absolutely true. He will literally never get the money Strasburg pays in taxes. He won't recover from this one and every GM out there knows it. He's proven enough times that he isn't worth it no matter what "it" is. He's a fringe player and has been for a while. Guys like him are to be seen , not heard.

he's gonna get away from NY you can bet on that. He won't have anything to say about it either. As for being a great pitcher, that ain't happening. He has a better chance of being in someone's bullpen 2 yrs from now than being a starter somewhere.

and now he is "apologizing" and hasn't it now come out that he was drunk and missed the game?

Not sure Id trade Aníbal Sánchez for this dewsh.

Safe to assume anyone that doesn't show up to work on January 1st, March 18th, May 6th or July 5th is drunk. Not a big deal, unless you lie about it.

Exactly... Which clearly he did... It's his complete fault and makes himself look like an idiot
