PS who would trade for Matt Barkley? I know it is a conditional 7th rounder, but geez, how bad is the state of NFL quarterbacking?

The Cards basically are giving up nothing unless Barkley is on the roster for 6 games. I think they either got him as insurance for when they try to get Thomas to the PS & someone might grab him. Or they are going to cut Barkley & put him on the PS thus not having to give up a pick.

But other than that, I have no idea why they acquired Barkley.

Good point. But hey, at the time he was considered a good gamble as a fourth rounder, given that he was pegged as a first rounder the year before.

In the end he proved to be a noodle-armed waste of roster space, an arrogant USC brat one at that, and I would have been glad if they just cut him. Getting a conditional pick is a plus.

I agree, the Eagles don't need a third QB. Chip is a smart coach and I see Chip using Tebow as a RB, FB or a TE. I pick the Eagles to win the NFL East. I Think Bradford will surprise a few people, that is if he stays healthy.

The Eagles need Tebow because if they cut him they are basically saying they completely trust Mr. I haven't played a full season since 2012 and Butt Fumble and that can't sit well with Eagles fans.

I wouldn't say he beat him. He just fits the system better. Did he beat him out statistically? I honestly don't know. Not to mention, they have a backup QB in Tebow they can actually use situationally in games. Whereas Barkley was never seeing the field.

Me neither; good for him. Normally I find it hard to stomach the Christian nuts but I find Tebow likeable.
