I just stated this in the Rangers forum but its worth repeating Sather is the worst GM. In all of hockey.

Right as I say it. We got Brass and Moore here in 3 hours, we now have 7 to get Marty here.

I don't get how hard this could be. It's less than a 2 hour flight from Tampa to NY and the 3 NY metro airports operate more flights in and out than any other city in America.

Garth Snow takes offense to that statement.

Ok ill revise Sather is barely the second worst GM in hockey. Also in Snows defense he is in over his head, Sather has been a GM since the 70s you would think by now he would know what he is doing.

Rangers have absolutely nothing in their system worth anything - 2-3 years down the road they're going to be screwed

It bears repeating...

"If I had the Rangers payroll, I'd win the Stanley Cup every year"

Because he traded Callahan who DEMANDED 6.M DOLLARS a year when he puts up 35 points and has been exposed in an offensive system?! We traded for a point per game player, who the fuck cares how old he is? He's STILL producing, the Rangers and Sather were not going to pay Cally for what he WAS, more than what he is NOW and it's a shadow of his former self.

You are only slightly right I wouldn't say nothing and N.Y. can attract a lot of FA. So I wouldn't say screwed but there is no Stanley Cup in our future. Never thought in 94 it would be so long before we were competitive again.

And let me guess, your Flyers do, right?

Miller, Kristo, Skjei, McIlrath, Duclair, Buchenevich, Lindberg, Fast.

That was a very uneducated and hate statement.

In the long runs it matters, for the next few years they'll be alright.

Rags would have been better off trading Callahan for picks and a young NHL'er who is under contract.

Okay, so it's about equal. All these guys, as well as ours, are question marks.

I expect better from you, Marcus. Stop seeing it as hating us and for what it really is.

And not giving up multiple picks themselves. And two firsts if we go to the conf finals I could see if we won the stanley cup or even went the the finals but who cares if you go to the conf. Finals thats not success. Though we arent going to the conf finals so I have no need to worry.

In the long run, it saves us money from what we would have been paying Cally.

Not sure I would say the Rangers got screwed. They will have St. Louis next year and there is still a good chance Callahan doesn't sign with the Bolts.

I see the picks as the Bolts insurance if he doesn't sign but that is some high picks.

And Callahan must be on some good stuff if he thinks he will get that type of money. IE if any GM learned from Gomez, Briere and Drury deals.

He will. Someone will pay him.

Look at Clarkson.
