I'd say this Elias' best outing all year. 8 shutout innings against a damn good lineup. Impressive
Jones with a groin injury...injury. (for you old Cheers fans).
I have a bad feeling about today's match up.
Elias's pitch sequences are too predictable. Once teams got a good scouting report on him they were able to take advantage of his fastballs (which he throws a lot, especially first pitches).
I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling that Detroit will feast on his fastballs. On the bright side at least Jones and Saunders is back in the lineup
darn, i thought maybe this was my chance to see a no hitter this year.
i missed all of beckett's
oh well, the year is young.
We tied a series with the Angels and even took 2/3 from the Tigers, but the Astros were just too much as we dropped 2/3 to them.
They didn't lose the series against the Astros, they split a 4 game series.
was it? for whatever reason I have a hard time remembering that series.

I'm not impressed with him as a manager, even trying to give him the benefit of the doubt since it's his first gig as the skipper. Maybe he'll grow into it a little better when/if he gets to run a real MLB team.
