Game 1 - King Felix (8-2 2.22 era) vs John Lackey (8-4 2.96 era)
Game 2 - Erasmo Ramirez (1-4 4.62 era) vs Jake Peavy (1-5 4.52 era)
Game 3 - Hisashi Iwakuma (5-3 3.04 era) vs TBA

With Felix and Kuma on the mound for games 1 and 3 we have to win this series. If we sweep the series we can get back to .500 at home and possibly leap frog the Angels for 2nd.

Btw Happy Felix Day. Hoping he pitches a complete game shut out tonight to quiet the 15,000 or so Red Sox bandwagon fans in the stands.

We just have to start playing better at home. Period. It's ridiculous that we're so much better on the road than at home. If we played as well or better at home than we're currently playing on the road, I don't know if we'd be talking about a Red Sox fan takeover of Safeco Field right now.

Just put it in perspective. 3 months ago do you think anybody would be complaining if we were 4 games above .500 right now? We're getting into a lot of low scoring affairs and in the long run it's probably going to even out to around .500. We need another bat before we can contend for a playoff spot and hopefully something happens before the trade deadline to acquire one.

I think people would have been pleasantly surprised to know that the M's would be 4 game above .500 and in the wildcard race in late June, but I also think they would assume that the home and road records would be reversed from what they are now.

going to start watching the team regularly again, for good or for ill

something is making me think that the offense is going to surge out of the bottom 2 in the league pretty soon

last in OPS and OBP, and 2nd to last in AVG and SLG, and still 4 games over .500

things can only get better.

Lineups for tonight. Hopefully the Mariners can muster a run or two for Felix.

Hitting into the shift and he hits a ground ball through the right side of the infield. How in gods name does that happen?

Felix has given up 3 straight hits, Mariners already down 0-1. Game over. I doubt this team's ability to even score 1 run for Felix.

And can we please get Ackley out of left field? He's one of the worst defensive left fielders I've seen in my life.

It's alright, held em to just 1

Felix will shut them out the rest of the way. Cano will go yard tonight

Why is Endy Chavez leading off? He's not the base running threat he was 5 years ago and he's only hitting .224 with a .243 OBP.

I appreciate your optimism, but it's almost like the guys on this team feel a lack of urgency when Felix is pitching. 1 run of run support in his last 3 starts.

Endy is decent (just got a hit). We need Saunders back though. He's on rehab assignment in Tacoma, just had a 3-4 night 2 days ago. Once he's back, we actually have a decent 1-4 lineup.

1. James Jones
2. Michael Saunders
3. Robinson Cano
4. Kyle Seager

Endy Chavez is the equivalent of a bad team's 4th outfielder. The Mariners 1-4 will look solid once Saunders comes back, I'll agree with that. Although I see Seager as more of a #5 hitter, the Mariners need a legit cleanup guy.

Wow Logan Morrison! He's looked a bit better swinging the bat since coming back from injury

Edit: Just checked his stats. He's only hitting .190 since coming back, but at least he has 3 hrs

How pathetic, the Boston cheers are louder than the Seattle cheers.

I've lived in Seattle my entire life and I love my teams, but the fans in this city are fucking pathetic beyond belief.
