Nice to open the series with a demoralizing loss for the Red Sox.

I wonder if they will send Felix back out there. He's at 95 pitches, has an extremely comfortable lead and has had a nice rest during this long inning of offensive explosion.

Figure it would be a good idea to give the bullpen a rest considering they will probably pitch at least 5 innings after they pull Ramirez tomorrow night.

We are just burning through their bullpen right now. Great to see. Figure that it's time for Felix to call it a night.

He doesn't have his best stuff and this is the second really long bottom of the inning he's sat through. It would be dumb to put him back out there.

Anyone want to admit to their wrong earlier postings or are you going to continue to pretend they don't exist?

Logan Morrison came into the night hitting .164, his BA is now up to .215. Talk about a hell of a night.

You mean the post assuming the Mariners would give Felix 0 runs of run support just as they have almost his entire career?

Yeah, I was wrong. What a stupid assumption of me to make.

They've been better with the run support lately. I was shocked he was able to get through the first inning with no additional runs because he was awful in the 1st. After that I was thinking it would be a 3-4 run night for him and we didn't have much of a chance.

Not just you, no, but I'm so not referring to 1 negative post either.

This team is about to be 5 games over .500 without 2 expected starting pitchers, our starting 1B, with our normal SS going through a huge slump and losing streaks of 8 and 5 games. Still, some posters cannot be pleased.

I'm pleased with the team, I've expressed that. I'm happy they've produced 12 runs today and have secured Felix a win, I'll happily say I was wrong about my expectations of today's game. Nobody in this league deserves run support more than Felix, perhaps that's what fuels my early game frustration.

You just can't blame me for not expecting much from the offense when Felix pitches with what they've given him the past 3 starts of his.

Great to see a blowout for once.

About the fans... it might suck to see so many Boston fans at these games, but until the Mariners prove that they can be consistent winners again, it's gonna happen. It's not "pathetic", it's something that happens when teams lose the confidence of their fans after a long period of losing. Unfortunately, Boston and New York fans are taking advantage of that and it's noticeable. I remember a time not long ago when it was considered "pathetic" when "too many" fans would show up to games. Can we make up our minds?

Maybe we finally have legit reason not to keep running Smoak out in the field. One can hope anyway

I'm ok with some pessimism or cautious optimism, but there's a lot a snarky backhanded compliments toward a team that just swept the hottest team in the AL and is greatly overachieving. Enjoy the ride for a while. If you can't enjoy watching this team win why watch at all?

While I agree with most of what you said, we don't have a starting first baseman. Smoak being out is addition by subtraction. He sucks and is never going to turn it around.
