I keep reading that Bellinger could be had for basically nothing. They just want him off their books. We will see how true that is here real soon.

Everything I’ve seen is Bellinger isn’t just the books, just like Hoerner he is “blocking” playing time for the Crow kid. So in that way it’s a good trade partner but they need pitching and unless it’s Castillo then it doesn’t make sense. You can’t trade any of the other 4 unless it is a must say yes deal. Plus no idea why I have the feeling that Castillo wouldn’t waive his no trade clause for the Cubs, it’s basically a lateral move. I think he would for the Yankees, Orioles and Red Sox.

Yes if that said player is a total dud easy to eat the 4mil but still producing that 4mil looks like a bargain for a contender and it would be much less in his final year of the contract.

And not to brag but I brought up the signing bonus’ and Soto just got a huge one to make his number “bigger” to stroke Boras’ ego.

I don’t think there is a big trade out there. The only real available guy is Crochet. I don’t think they can make a trade that makes us all excited cause all of the goods players are on teams contending.

Castillo's no-trade is concerning but he also has to realize that it ends after this coming season. So is it better to go to the Cubs now, or anywhere M's want to send him after the season?

Interesting mention on twitter. Mariners have the best prospects so they most likely could add a guy like Crochet if they wanted to. Have Sox eat a good chunk of his money. Then that lets them trade a guy like Miller for a nice infielder. Then if they could get lucky and add Sasaki, they could trade any of the other 4 for more infield help.

So when people say M's ownership is to blame, that is not completely true. Cheap teams have GM's that get creative and get better. Dipoto trades, but does he ever get us better?
