Certainly we should have someone else in the minors that gives up 7.48 runs per nine innings a game that can get some MLB experience in doing so. Why hasn’t Flexen been DFA”d yet…

And this is where I really get pissed in the offseason when we don't sign a legit bat. I think you need a guy that chews ass when needed but he has to be a vet and a guy that leads the team as atop hitter. Nobody wants to hear it from a kid or a guy who doesn't play or doesn't produce when he plays. Nelson Cruz helped this team with more than just by hitting homers. His leadership was second to none. Maybe he didn't chew ass, maybe he did, but he led.

I think Nelson Cruz will go down as one of my all time favorite Mariners despite only playing four years for us.

This 10 game stretch has been absolutely brutal.

3-7 record
Runs scored: 33
Runs allowed: 67

Absolutely inexcusable. If I had absolutely no context about the background of players, stats, etc. and watched these 10 games I would think that this was the worst team in baseball.

Who else played in the WBC? Didn't Castillo?

Maybe I'm idiotic for thinking this, but I feel bad for Castillo because I thought he pitched a great game Friday night but the stat line doesn't show it. I suppose in the end it doesn't matter how well you pitch if you get the loss.
