Hey, Lets just end this conversation now. Lee aint going anywhere...

Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said last week that the 33-year-old left-hander "isn't going anywhere."
Amaro declined to comment on whether Lee had been claimed after being placed on waivers. But the GM told reporters that those sorts of technicalities were "irrelevant," because he has no intention of trading Lee.

If the Phillies Goal was to pump up the farm system. Which does need help. They would probably eat a chunk of his Contract in order to get the good enough prospects to get a deal done.

which is why it makes no sense with the Sox

"Let me pull a potential trade out of my ass that will never happen, so I can continue to overrate the value of my baseball team's prospects on a daily basis."

- An angry armchair GM from Rhode Island who is convinced that Jackie Bradley is the next Barry Bonds

LOL @ bonds...

It would funnier if I wasn't the one Sox fan in here saying Bradley shouldn't start this season in the majors...

And again...you don't know dick about a single player I mentioned...stop trying to pretend you do, just to prove you're a raging douchebag....

Now, go run to the admins and beg to have your account canceled so we don't have to see your wifes butch face anymore.

Thanks.

and people say soccer is bad.....between the acting in the nba and derek jeter faking hit by pitches....i dont know whats worse

If it's Spurs vs. Heat in the finals, the refs should just all agree to never call a foul on a player taking Wade or Ginobili

They brought it upon themselves

-

they had to move agon to move beckett and crawford

im not convinced they wanted to let Agon go

he produced when he was here, power numbers down, but he earned his money

Agreed....BUT, the point was that Down said that the last time salary was an issue to the Sox was last year.

I countered that it wasn't the $173,000,000 payroll, it was the lack of production from that $173,000,000 team. That is different than not going after a guy because of "payroll concerns".

LOL...you'd think someone that says they're a baseball fan for as long as Cowboy claims he is, would know this is said about virtually every player trade rumors swirl around...and often enough, are proven to be flat out lies.

After this, Snoogins' Fitzgerald for Mallet deal looks less asinine

"Zack Cozart and Billy Hamilton for Clayton Kershaw! The Dodgers system stinks, and they have to want to dump salary!" :laugh3:

And 12 months ago? WMB was a "top prospect"....durability is a concern, but the bat is very legit (sans start of this year)....
...

Down, would love to hear your thoughts on Jesus Montero.

Was the top prospect but seemed over matched in the Bigs. Would you still count him as something to hold onto as a prospect? Despite his slow start to this season?

You'd think after looking so foolish already today you would attempt to not do so again.

These can't be lies because they were cemented when they declined the trade with the Dodgers.

Enough already. You started a very irrelevant and foolish conversation. Don't be mad at me for it.

He's in a horrific situation - terrible lineup, and terrible park to take advantage of his opposite field gap power

If he has any chance of getting his career back on track, he'll need to do it somewhere other than Seattle
