we dont need cliff lee...we could USE him, but we dont need him.

we need BP arms to make up for the ones we lost...the team was built on a strong and deep BP that could toss 2-3 IP of scoreless relief

that blew up, fast

Building a team on middle relievers seemed like a good idea...........

to nobody ever!

Jackie Bradley for Craig Kimbrel and Brian Mccann, we all know the Braves need a 6th outfielder. Done and done.

After this, Snoogins' Fitzgerald for Mallet deal looks less asinine

"Zack Cozart and Billy Hamilton for Clayton Kershaw! The Dodgers system stinks, and they have to want to dump salary!" :laugh3:

Poor Down. The trade he pulled out of his ass is hilarious and his daily absurd humping of Sox minor leaguers is being mocked. His career as armchair GM is in jeopardy.

You're a maroon:laugh3:

Down, would love to hear your thoughts on Jesus Montero.

Was the top prospect but seemed over matched in the Bigs. Would you still count him as something to hold onto as a prospect? Despite his slow start to this season?

Jesus should get a partial pass - no one hits well in Seattle except maybe Mike Morse.

Well, they do need someone to replace BJ.

No one is saying "build the team on middle relief"....they are saying adding middle relief help to an otherwise built team.

Absolutely...because Seattle is where good hitters go to die....I'd still value him very highly...

He's in a horrific situation - terrible lineup, and terrible park to take advantage of his opposite field gap power

If he has any chance of getting his career back on track, he'll need to do it somewhere other than Seattle

Thanks Vine Pinch --- I wasn't looking for a rational answer, I was trying to get Downs to admit that Montero is "done, a bust, washed up, over-hyped, another piece of shit Yankees prospect, a failure etc" while talking about how .211 hitting, awful defense WMB is still a "top prospect".

way to fuck it up :)

Other than Rock saying "they built this team on a BP that can get 2-3 innings of outs" you are correct that nobody said that.
