i can grow up to 10 plants at a time in my home/on my property as long as it is now in plain sight. i can have up to 10 ounces as well, aside from plants. i can have an ounce on me in public with no issue. i had a half ounce of some dank in my pocket, stunk up a storm, in line at dunkins behind a cop. nothing he can do.

Because the federal government has no jurisdiction to make marijuana legal or illegal. This is a state issue as defined by the 10th Amendment. Any raids that occur are done by local authorities.

That is a recent ruling made within the past year, wasn't aware of that (NY is behind in all of this anyway, with only very limited medicinal legality). The Trump administration has indicated they will do otherwise (but they clearly aren't always familiar with what they can and can't do (travel ban))...

What's a recent ruling? The 10th Amendment has been around for over 200 years.

They can try to do whatever they want. This isn't like the travel ban, federal authorities oversee people coming in and out of the country directly. In this case, they would have to convince local police to arrest citizens for breaking 0 laws.

Likely because they aren't just selling for medicinal purposes.

We're on the cusp of legalization up here and they raid the "open for general business" shops fairly frequently when they feel like it, but tend to leave the medicinal boys alone.

Why would you say that? It's not like Atlanta and Carolina are bonafide contenders. Carolina went from first to worst, and Atlanta lost Shanahan. Saints have two draft picks to spend on a opposite edge rusher of Jordan and a satellite back to fill the void left by Sproles. They have already signed players like Teo, Okafor, Klein and they can't contend? They have to contend in 2017 or Payton and Loomis is gone. And Brees is not gonna let that happen.

If they trade that first for Butler, that means they don't get the Sproles replacement early in the form of McCaffery or Cook. But they have a CB opposite Breaux(wait no one knows who he is), as Butler won't be the number one corner. They use that first pick on a edge rusher opposite Jordan. And with Rankins and Fairley as the starting DTs that's a solid front four. Ntm Vacarro, Bell as safeties as they moved on from Byrd(post June 1) because he wasn't getting enough turnovers.

And they also addressed OL with the Warford signing, as the guard play(due to Armstead being hurt constantly and Peat having to sub at LT) has been why the offense struggled in some games last year such as Detroit and NYG.

The saints primary focus is pass rusher and a ball hawk this offseason.

And if drug legalization is under the jurisdiction of the federal government, why did it take a Constitutional Amendment to outlaw alcohol?

Since there has been no amendment to outlaw drugs, it is NOT under the jurisdiction of the federal government and therefore falls under the 10th Amendment and falls to the state.

And that's what anybody that hasn't watched the Saints isn't really getting. Breaux has, is, and will be the guy that covers Julio, Mike Evans, and Kelvin Benjamin. Our problem for the longest is finding a number 2 corner, that can be average(let alone be as good as Malcolm Butler possibly could be)
