Made Red Army leave the ice did he not?
My kind of guy.
Yes he did. In his words the Soviet player hit his (Van impe's) elbow with his jaw.

Both pretty good, but neither great.
As for Lindbergh, I can't put him on any "great" list because his body of work is too small. Bernie Parent did too much much in Philly to be usurped by a one hit wonder.
Same with Michel Briere, except the goalie part. Also, Bernie Parent is the no-brainer for Flyers goalie, but it's just such a shame that Pelle Lindbergh died in that car accident, he was well on his way to being a fine goalie and quite possibly a Hall-of-Famer.
Bladon was good but not spectacular.
Ugh you're not one of these fans that thinks Sundin was no good, are you?
How about Don Cherry's fave keeperG: Not Sure
D: Stevens
D: Niedermayer
LW: Elias
C: Muller
RW: MacLean?
Calgary KipperOff the top of my head I'd say he's probably better than Anaheim, Arizona, Calgary, Carolina, Columbus, probably Florida, Minnesota, Nashville, San Jose, St. Louis, Tampa, Washington, Winnipeg. That puts him closer to the middle than the bottom.
Calgary Kipper
Florida Beezer/ Luongo
Nashville Rinne
St Louis Cujo/Liut
Wash. Kolzig
I'd take any over Barasso I'd take Meloche as a Pen over Barasso
Best D-man in Flyer history is Ed Van Impe
Kinda surprised I have not seen a Boston lineup yet.
Is that because they are having trouble filling out 6 names???
Bruins;
Defense: Mr.Orr
Defense: Ray Bourque
Forward: Phil Esposito
Forward: Cam Neely
Forward: man this is a tough one. I'll get back to you.
This IS the Bruins all time team:
G: Tiny Thompson
D: Bobby Orr
D: Ray Bourque
RW: Cam Neely
C: Phil Esposito
LW: Johnny Bucyk
Maybe not.
Now that I'm home and have had a moment to reflect (OK, I had to check some shit out on the interweb, so sue me) I will go with;
Goalie; Frank Brimsek
Defense: Mr. Orr
Defense; Ray Bourque
Forward; Phil Esposito
Forward; Cam Neely
Forward; Milt Schmidt
I know that Milt and Espo were both centerman and John Bucyk is a legend and a left winger that would round out the forward trio nicely, but Miltie was a left hand shot who could have played the wing and he was a freakin superstar while Bucyk was damn good forever. Tough call, but that's my list.
I posted mine a few pages back. Picking a team of 6 guys was too easy with plenty of guys to spare.Kinda surprised I have not seen a Boston lineup yet.

Can't say that I remember him to tell you the truth.
