I ended up actually playing these games vs. simming them. I'll have to do a true simulator (no help from me) to get an honest record out of this experiment. I doubt they start 5-1 in real life.

I agree with this. New system and a fresh perspective has eliminated players that were likely still here because of a perceived obligation Vs. true potential.

I simmed all 4 pre season games, here are notables:

Dejon Gomes trade accepted from Redskins, Lions get 2015 4th and 7th.

Lions trade DE Devin Taylor to Cowboys for LG Ronald Leary and a 7th rounder (2015)

Lions release Jeremy Ross. I tried to resign him but he was gone. So Bush will return kicks.

Week 1 vs. Giants MNF

Results: Lions 23 Giants 16

Stafford 1and 1 w 189 yards.

Eli w 1 and 1 w 256 yards.

Calvin 9 grabs for 89 and a TD

Daryl Tapp of all people w 3 sacks coming off the bench. Lions D w 8 sacks total.

Theo Riddick w a 97 yard kick return TD.
