How is Mack Brown after bye weeks though?????????

That is the question........

I'm guessing pretty good since the dude averages 10 wins a year....... any stat like as such is kinda worthless cuz the guy doesn't lose much period..........

That has more to do with how good texas has been than anything he has a good record every week of the year. they have won 9+ games every year in the last ten i think

Shit, I love how many people are picking Texas to win in an upset. Because texas doesn't lose 3 straight, because texas wins 10+ every year, because texas is texas damnit.

Fuck texas. Nebraska is going to kick their ass this weekend.

A couple of days ago on the BCS countdown show a couple of those guys picked Texas and a couple picked Nebraska. I don't know the names of any of the guys who were on the show that day, but one of them definitely said "Nebraska's one-dimensional offense will be exposed by the speed of Texas' defense."

You know whats hallarious? everyone is talking about Texas shutting down Nebraska's offense. And last I checked Texas (A pass heavy offense) has to somehow put up points against the best secondary in the nation. Nobody is even mentioning this. How is Texas going to score enough points to beat us (assuming they slow down our offense)

I found a nice little statistic yesterday............Texas has played an average defense ranked 96th in the country on total defense.

So Texas who is 71st in total offense and 80th in points scored per game on offense, has compiled those terrible stats against teams with an average defensive ranking of 96th in the country.

Now they have to go against a great defense in Nebraska...........if they suddenly find a way to move the ball against the Blackshirts I will be shocked.

Also, some people are trying to pimp UCLA and Oklahoma's defenses to make Texas look better.

UCLA's defense is allowing 26 points per game and is ranked 71st in total defense. Oklahoma is allowing 23 points per game and is ranked 93rd in total defense.

That Oklahoma stat shocked me a little bit, but now that I think about it, their defense really just isn't very good this year. Anyways, those are the two "quality" defenses that Texas has faced this year LMAO

I can't beleive Oklahoma's defense has had that kind of a drop off. Venables is a very respectable coach, and they have plenty of talent and speed. I don't get it. Hopefully they get it together, otherwise there's no way they're making it to the title game undefeated.
