After the Eagles game last week, Mac Jones came out on the practice field with a knee brace.
Against the Giants, he had a much heavier and sturdier brace on his left knee.
At yesterday's closed practice, he was filmed walking up the concrete stairs with Josh and needed the railing to pull himself up and 2was pressing his right hand on his right thigh in what was thought to be a way to help himself climb the stairs.
Now the media is getting whipped into a frenzy about whether or not Mac Jones could withstand the pounding from the #5, #6 and #8 2020 defenses (Dolphins #6, Saints #5 Bucs #8). They've also started questioning his physical condition vs the ripped Cam Newton at 6'5" 255#.
Took up most of the Early Edition and BST last night. They both showed the footage of Mac on the stairs with Josh.
Practices are now closed to the public and the media. There will be certain days that the media will be able to access practice, but not the public.
