What's up with all the Tallon loves Luongo comments? Is there a past between the two?

If we use the Maple Leafs as the example, perhaps defenceman Mike Komisarek (who has two years remaining at $4.5 million per) is asked to be part of such a deal?

I for one would not object (hehe)

they were both Canucks at one time?

We could pair him with Ballard and call then "8 1/2 weaks"

anyone catch Bobby Holik talking about Luongo?

Bobby Holik - Sportsnet 960 - The FAN - Calgary's Sports Radio - AM 960 - Audio on Demand

verrrrrrrrry interesting

"Luongo asking for a trade ... or i dont know if its official of not ... but ... Im not surprised at all ... because he ... I dont think he was ever completely thrilled being in Vancouver ... He got a contract offer that he couldnt refuse ... but at the same time ... Im not a Roberto Luongo fan ... but I understand his ... the unreasonable criticism and the spotlight that has been on him because ... its was completely unreasonable ... at the same time I dont think he's as good ... as great of a goalie as some people think so ... i think theyre gonna part there ways and its gonna benefit both Luongo or Vancouver

and Im not speaking from inciteful information thats just my own analysis of the situation there"

right Bobby ... sure ... I like that he added that last part

I don't know if Bobby Holik was thrilled to be in New York, but I do know he got a contract offer he couldn't refuse...

maybe the contract can be voided due to excessive hair grease rubbing out the signature line

If Roberto Luongo gets traded + wins a Stanley Cup he should get his championship ring fitted for his middle finger

What is your best early guess on where Roberto Luongo starts next year: Chicago, Florida, Tampa Bay, Toronto?

Maurice: He will be in Toronto. That's not particularly well-informed but he can make the greatest impact on that team and get that team to the playoffs. We know Randy Carlyle loves the big goaltender in net and that's why they will do whatever they need to do to get him there.

Dreger: I'm saying Tampa Bay and we know that Luongo is going to have heavy influence in the outcome of this, and we also know that there is going to be questionable interest to a degree so I'm going to go Tampa Bay because he wants to go back to Florida and the Lightning are a better fit than the Panthers.

McKenzie: I'll say the Maple Leafs. I think they need a No. 1 goaltender and the Leafs have a pressing need to make the playoffs and he can help them do that.
