If anything close to that trade is made, it wouldn't shock me in the least. Burke is desperate. His ride into Toronto on a white horse and save the Leafs dream is going down in flames and he needs to make something happen.

That being said, I think getting Luongo gets us into the playoffs. Sure he can be a nightmare at times in net, but he is good for at least 35 wins.

depends on who is pushing that trade most. he may have instructions and he will follow them. Luongo is not a bad move. I dont see why it would be. the last 2 years they make the playoffs with him in net. do they go far. hard to say I think maybe this year with the upsets who knows. people act like Luongo is a sieve and shit goalie. I dont think people know his true value. I guess the Rangers should dump Lundqvist now that he had an average series against New Jersey. or Rinne should be dumped in Nashville, or Smith in Phoneix for his average round against LA.

I think that getting Luongo on a average team with shit goaltending gives them a good team with solid goaltending. what comes back would be the value of the trade and in eyes Burkes/Leafs message of what he/they think he's worth
