So it looks like, "we've got Luongo".

Somehow, I doubt there's a deal where fans of both teams say, "I don't mind this". If it's not the 5th overall pick offered, I'm pretty much ok with just about anything else offered.

Could you imagine? They'd go from the best goaltending tandem in the NHL to.....Eddie Lack (nothing against the young man, he may have a bright future). The Canucks would just have to trade Janik Hansen to the Sharks for Antii Niemi.

P.S. - and yes, I know the Canucks would just be forced to match.

I don't think there's any way that Lou would fetch the 5th overall pick unless Burkie goes into full on panic mode. I'd guess that it would be somewhere between Schenn and a 3rd Round Pick or Komisarek and a 2nd Round Pick.

I feel like I'm the only non-Nucks fan to say this, but I hope Bobby Lou finds a good home and success. I'm probably being dumb when I say I think he could get Toronto into the playoffs (I feel like I have a track record of thinking one guy can make all the difference...and then he doesn't). Anyway, he's one of my favorite players since his Panther days, and I'm not sure why other hockey fans hate him for no apparent reason.

I kind of want to see what he could for Tampa actually.

I think Luongo would get the Leafs into the playoffs, too.

I have nothing against him as a goalie. I think he's still very good; I just don't want him here because I don't really see him as a fit that would make much of a difference.
