I totally agree. I wish the whole team would put a gag order on everyone except the GM during off season and hell during the season. we have a stupid media/fanbase that just spews so much.

I guess I mean we take minimal info and just RUN With it.

yeah that was awkward. like he wasn't ready for the questions you KNEW were coming. I though he was really not expecting those questions that he didn't have a good enough prepared answer.

I almost thought sekeres wasnt gonna ask gillis about vigneaults comments to "le match" about luongo

the stuff he said about kesler was less combative than what AV said ... but on the same page and I agreed with his take

and I didnt expect him to come right out and say, today, on May 25th, that they were just gonna walk away from Mason Raymond like alot of the callers immediately after brought up. I think Gillis saying "Mason Raymond is a good player" was enough of a comment lol

he said he has no plan for the team yet. of course he has a plan its what sold Canucks ownership and extending his contract. I believe Luongo is out and if they can sign Raymond for a minimal amount as possible great if not then adios Im not fully sure on his contract but being RFA and his age he is NOT only going to get a minimal % raise correct? its pretty open for negotiation on both sides he just can't go down

I had heard that the french interview was "if Luongo wants out. blah blah blah", and the translation left out the "if".
fwiw.

Im not fully sure on his contract but being RFA and his age he is NOT only going to get a minimal % raise correct? its pretty open for negotiation on both sides he just can't go down

Nucks need to present a qualifying offer to retain his RFA rights.
that qualifying offer for his salary is 100% of his salary. (for under about $675k its 10% raise, and up to $1m it's 5% raise)
