Wow he's an idiot. He's not going to find a better situation to go to this season. Indians were the favorites if he went there

Maybe he just doesn't want to move to Cleveland, Ohio?

Young people don't want to move to the rust belt. They want to be in the heat and sunshine and excitement.

Try trading him to the Dodgers or Marlins and see if he vetos that trade.

Rangers and Mets would both be as good.

What I don't understand is, why don't you find out if that player will veto the trade before negotiating the terms? Both teams have now wasted a ton of time and resources on getting this deal done. Now both are scrambling. Why let it get to this point without knowing whether Lucroy will waive his clause?

So this was the reason he refused to waive the no trade clause

He vetoed the trade because he wanted the Indians to buy out the last year of his contract. That would make him Arby eligible and give him a 7 million dollar pay raise.

Can't blame Lucroy for wanting more money/better contract if he has to pack up and move to a new city. That's why he wanted the no trade clause in the first place.

Both teams have poor management.

No.

He'd be a unrestricted free agent after this season. Arbitration isn't in play.
