Exactly. Vince fuckin Lombardi couldnt make the Illini into a perpetual winnerIllinois will suck no matter who they hire.
He’s not the answer for Michigan either, and until someone hires him away, I’m afraid we are stuck with himAs much as an improvement he would be over lovie I don’t think Jim is the answer
Nope. You guys are in the process of a 5 year extensionPlease, oh please, make Jim Harbaugh an offer
No really good coach goes to a longtime loser. They want to go to a team that is ready when they take over or has a winning tradition. An exception (at least this year) is Indiana, but that remains to be seen. When did a perpetual loser in CFB get turned around by a coaching hire?
no established coaches, but yes programs like that look for up and comers that can build a program. No really good coach goes to a longtime loser. Every league has it doormats. Why would any successful coach go to Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois, Purdue, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Tennessee, Oregon State, Kansas when they look at the year in year out schedule they have to play. Of course, money will help but the really good ones can get money anywhere.
True but not with established top tier coaches. Urban Meyer (and those of high status) are not interested in Kansas, Rice, Illinois, Wake Forest.no established coaches, but yes programs like that look for up and comers that can build a program.
Programs do turn around.
Yeah, you have to find a PJ Fleck, Matt Campbell, Chris Kleiman, EtcTrue but not with established top tier coaches. Urban Meyer (and those of high status) are not interested in Kansas, Rice, Illinois, Wake Forest.
