Good special teams player.
Smith has bounced between CB and RB in the NFL. Mostly a special teams player. Decent KR... Good gunner. Good role player to add. Adds depth to CB and hey he has RB experience so when our top 3 RB's pull a hammy he can fill a role there too.

I think this a is a fun little signing for us. Sorta that X factor player I have been wanting Denver to grab for awhile now. Maybe not quiet to that level but a version of it.
It also is bad news for Montrell. Not sure Tremon will handle PR duties as he has mostly done KR's but he does have PR experience. On top of that he has has experience on defense and has shown he has some ball skills on D. I see him mostly being a special teams player as that has been his calling in the NFL but he gives you a guy that came help you in so many different ways. Quality signing here. Not a HUGE signing by any means but he he can help you in so many ways. You get a lot out of his roster spot and these are the exact signings that Sean Payton has been known for.
