Actually - Know it was
LA is closing in on 30 and has been relatively injury free for the most part, he's due for an injury. I don't think he'd be a smart pickup, despite his obvious talent and ability to produce.
A talented young team that the Lakers seem to be grooming could also be a prime destination for a player that thinks he can help take them to the next level.
I see his logic in one perspective only. While I agree with you, there is that nagging little part that he is 30 years old. He could go another 10 years like some of them have and never slow down, but Charles Barkley is right about the fact that father time is undefeated will catch up the players sooner or later. I personally would pick him up because the Lakers won't do any better or nearly as good anywhere else and it would make them fun to watch again, but the Lakers aren't going to win a championship with him or I guess I suppose I should say not likely too. Especially if they keep all of their raw talent and wait for them to grow up and become men that can be traded for better or whateverSo he has been relatively injury free for his career so you don't want to sign him because he is due to have an injury??
That "logic" is rather convoluted. It's like the guy at the blackjack table who insists that he has to win this time because he lost the last 5 times.
While age can be a concern at some point, the actual physical evidence points towards Aldridge being able to play at a high level for the next 3-5 years.
Pre-holiday prediction:
Riley will come to his senses today and Aldridge will be a Spur for the 4th of July.
I sure hope so. I would love for Lamarcus Aldridge to be on the Heat. I just know what it costs and I as a fan, don't want my team to trade away Whiteside and Winslow, along with Deng.
That would be a better fit for him then the Lakers - Miami already has veterans that are ready to run. It would be a good choiceI sure hope so. I would love for Lamarcus Aldridge to be on the Heat. You really never know, but the way I see it, don't get my hopes to high and then be disappointed. In the worst case situation, the Lakers have a nice group of rookies to develop like what Golden State did. It's funny how peoPle think they know how these meetings went.
