I'm patient. It could fun watching the youth develop, assuming they do and don't get hurt in their first game.

The Lakers don't win titles every year. There was a big gap between Showtime and the Shaq/Kobe era. I still enjoyed watching the likes of Nick the Quick and Eddie Jones.

I had a hard time visualizing the Lakers landing free agents to begin with this entire season which irked more than a few, but it was obvious that Kobe's career was pretty much done short of a miracle come back next season and without some good players, the Lakers simply don't have the team that some one like Aldridge wants and needs. Aldridge is 30 - he doesn't have the time to wait for the Lakers to be ready for the big free agent. The Lakers could get two free agents and they still wouldn't have enough. They need time to develop that youth - I am with you on this one. Time and patience
